More Influential: Michael Jordan or NBA Jam?

The NBA is pretty much the only sport these days that features a legit head-to-head competition between companies.

That is being evidenced even more this year with both 2K Sports and EA Sports making big moves for consumer interest and market share.

2K Sports signed Michael Jordan as the cover athlete and NBA Elite 11 includes a free downloadable copy of NBA Jam.(FOR PS3 and 360)

Which one will have a stronger influence on a potential purchase decision?

tbh neither of them persuade what game im going to buy i could care less about the jordan extra, i mean ill check them out but i wont bother playing them much after that. 2k people will buy 2k as with live/elite people. but the nba jam thing does look like fun

Haha nice Hutch!

As for me, I wont even check out the Jordan challenge. If that's the biggest feature in 2K, I'm going to be extremely pissed. Their biggest feature better be a gameplay improvement. So which one is more influential to me? Definitely Elite+Jam, but I'm still going with 2K regardless, because they have a much better gameplay.

Hopefully they fix 2k10 my player mode. I wasn't able to finish a playoff series because it froze. Stops right before the finals, too. Hopefully it isn't bad omen for my team :/.

But Jam vs Jordan is tough... especially since Elite really improved on their gameplay. I'd say in the end, Jordan will win because people buy these games for a complete NBA simulation, and nothing's more complete than playing as the best team in NBA history.
