The Scorpions w/ Dokken Concert

I just got back from the Scorpions/Dokken concert. I gotta say, the Scorps still freaking got it. They were amazing, awesome, kickass. There was like a 5-8 minute drum solo by James Kottak and it was pretty badass, I loved it. Dokken was good too, they only played like, 5 songs. I don't know that many of their songs but did hear the two that I was most familiar with. Don Dokken's voice was cracking a bit while he was singing but I still enjoyed them opening up.

 

Though while we were there, we didn't have any cash to pay for a parking ticket. The lady said we could still go in but our car might get towed. She said there was an ATM in the Amphitheater but as we got to the entrance, there was a sign that said "No re-entrance". The lady checking the tickets said we could use the ATM and then talk with the manager to see if he'd allow us back in but I said [expletive] it and we'll chance it. If our car gets towed, I'll pay for it. Good thing for us, they didn't tow our car though it was on our mind the entire time.

 

I did prank my older cousin after the show. Told him that our car did get towed and that we needed him to come pick us up. I live in Gresham OR and he lives in Beaverton OR and the concert was in Ridgefield WA, so it's about a 30-45 minute drive from both Gresham and Beaverton. He was like "[expletive], alright, let me google the address and I'll be there as soon as possible. I'll call you back". I was really convincing too, totally fell for it.

Thats cool man. I still can't believe some of these bands still got it after all these years. I saw AC/DC last year in Philly and i wasnt expecting too much but damn they delivered.
