The Heat's defense this year

Is gonna be absolutely ridiculous. I hadn't thought about it that much until today but this team should end up being the top defensive team in the league. Since Riles got here 15 years ago, we've been a top ten defensive team every year except 3. Twice we were tanking and the other we finished 11th. It wouldn't surprise me at all if LBJ and Wade got ape [expletive] this year on defense without the added scoring burden now.

They are definitely very athletic and could be a nightmare defensively. However Bosh is a poor defender, and doesnt do much for interior defense, and they really dont have the bigs that are capable of anchoring a strong defensive unit. They will be great because of their up tempo scoring and dominance offensively.

I have no doubt that Bosh will improve defensively playing for us. This is a defensive oriented franchise and it always has been.

Bosh is bad as the primary interior defender, but that's not the case in Miami. His role has changed, and his energy and focus defensively will be impacted positively.
