Supposedly the salary cap will go up by as much as $2 million next season.

This is fantastic news for the Flyers, potentially. May be the difference between keeping and losing Ville Leino.

Soon to be Tyler Seguin......or whichever top 3 pick the Leafs give the Bruins this draft. .

Damn, Leafs fans just hate life right now, and I don't blame them.

Why is Seguin even in the NHL if he isn't going to touch the ice in the 3rd period? Seriously, if I were a Bruins fan I'd rather him be in juniors/the AHL.

I hated Burke, I hated that deal at the time and I especially do now. I didn't think the picks would be as good as they were, but they would obviously be lotto. Burke's pride just got in the way, he should have just given what we had to, he gave up the 2nd first stupidly so he didn't look like a hypocrite. I mean, if we had a borderline playoff team ok, but our roster was in horrible shape when he gave up all those picks, it was just foolish.

Haven't seen much of Tyler, though, but I doubt he will be on that level, but he will obviously be a player in the league, but I really do not like Kessel much, never have. No hands, great 2nd line player solid 1st line player. Could be a 40+ goal scorer if he had a really good center though, easily, watching him take shots from the outside and turn the puck over in the other team's zone on rushes drives me [expletive]ing crazy.

Whatever, at least Burke was assertive, he tried to shortcut the rebuild, just like MLSE would want him to, and it backfired. Live and learn I guess. You can't really fault him for doing what he was ordered to, try and win immediately and generate excitement around the team.

There are a definately some that are annoyed about his ice-time, but it should increase with him playing with Savard.

I want to see him on the PP more. It's annoying seeing Recchi, Ferrence, and others on the PP and not Seguin. He's made a lot of great plays this season, and would look great on the PP.

He may be a little bit of a defensive liability in Julen's eye, but I'm not sure. I also think they may be trying to make sure he doesn't get worn out over the long haul of the season.

The same thing happens to a lot of rookies with ice-time, just like Stamkos, who as predicted, has started his decline in points.

He just over-rated his team and thought he would have a playoff team. The trade would not be nearly as bad if the Leafs didn't completely suck.

Also, how would the Leafs be better if they didn't get Kessel? They only got him for draft picks.

He can't go to the AHL because he's too young but he's way too good to be back in the OHL.

It kinda sucks for him because like many young guys on winning teams, you don't always get the ice time you need like Steven Stamkos gets because his team was a stinker.

The biggest problem with Burke is that he loves the spotlight. I know MLSE didn't want the rebuild either but standing put and watching the Leafs fall to the bottom is not his style which is why I never really understood why they grabbed a trigger happy GM when they needed somebody with patience.

I actually enjoy watching this years Leafs team but still find Burke extremely overrated considering his Stanley Cup ring was gift wrapped from Edmonton. Plus you cannot watch a Leafs game without seven or eight shots of Burke watching the game.

Exactly. In the case of a good team like the Bruins, it is harmful to both player and team.

"24/7" starts tomorrow night on HBO. I am pretty excited for it, even though I am not very fond of the Penguins and Capitals. It should be very cool.

Edmonton has one called Oil Change which has been interesting to watch. Not sure if it's online yet but gives a behind the scene look through the draft and I think they've done a couple in season as well.

Yeah they were showing that on NHL Network. I have caught bits and pieces.
