EastCoastNiner
Also, for any of you that have had a good viewing of Ryan Murphy, what are your thoughts on him? A lot of Bruins fans want him, as he may have the highest upside of anyone in this draft, but he can bust just as easily. From what I've seen of him, he is not small, he is a [expletive]ing twig. Phightins
The NHL schedule for next season has been released. The Bruins have a lot of great road games, but they play Montreal way too [expletive]ing early. October 6th baby!! The Flyers early season schedule is kind of brutal. Opening in Boston, home opener vs Vancouver. Ouch! Also, I suppose the Flyers/Rangers Winter Classic is indeed on. On the schedule for January 2nd at 1PM. My sisters boyfriend also grew up in the same city as him and he says he's really down to earth...which is often very rare in Junior hockey. Heck Taylor Hall was at someones party and did his signature in ketchup and told the people not to clean it because it was gonna be worth tons haha. I admit I don't know a lot about Murphy, but many people have been saying if he was 6'2, he would go #1, so the real concern is his size. I'm just looking forward to the draft tomorrow. Also, it's really funny that you mention Hall partying because you have no idea about Seguin and Marchand the past week. I'm sure Chara is already back at the gym. . I just hope the success doesn't get to the heads of those two. They both have very bright futures ahead of them if they keep their heads straight. The Great iBoldin
Marchand looks like he's keeping some extra fat on there, sort of surprised at the beer gut. Also, I love trades like these, they're exciting and huge. Wonder how it leaves Philly's core now. Very young.
Built Ford Tough
Richards to LA for Brayden Schenn, Wayne Simmonds and a 2nd. Robyn Regher likely to be traded to Buffalo at some point too as he was asked to waive his no-movement clause and said he would. Crazy day. Jammin
Kinda shocked that they traded away both but not even draft day so I guess we will see what's up his sleeve. I wonder how much closer this brings Brad Richards to NYC as LA was also rumored to be very interested. --- Stephen

EastCoastNiner
If I couldn't put money on the Bruins to win the Stanley Cup next year, I would put it on the Penguins without a doubt. If there is one team that is jumping for joy right now it is them. It's going to be interesting seeing how Giroux can score and shut Crosby and Malkin down. Giroux is honestly better than Richards in every aspect of the game. The hit to our depth is the biggest factor here. It was nice to have great two way forwards centering practically every line last year. Now that is gone. I think there will be more pressure on Schenn than anybody. If he comes anywhere close to his potential (I don't really expect him to his rookie season), then I think we will be fine. Built Ford Tough
Leafs get John-Michael Liles from the Avs for a 2nd round pick next year. John-Micheal Liles is heading to Toronto. The Avalanche sent the defenceman to the Maple Leafs in exchange for Toronto's second round draft pick in 2012. That draft pick was acquired when the Leafs dealt Tomas Kaberle to the Bruins last year. Liles has been with the Avs for all seven of his seasons in the NHL.Last year, he posted six goals and 40 assists in 76 games. The 30-year-old has 68 goals and 207 assists in 523 career games. Liles has one year remaining on his contract at $4.5 million, with a cap hit at $4.2 million http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=369879 I know they were after him at the deadline, but from what I heard the Avs wanted a 1st and a prospect for him, which Burke wasn't willing to do (and rightfully so). I like the move simply because they need a guy that can play on their first powerplay unit (they were using Tim Brent on the point for crying out loud) and he is only signed for one more year so its not like they are committing to anything long term with him. The pick is going to be a late 2nd rounder anyways, considering they are trading Boston's 2nd that they got because of the Bruins making the Stanley Cup FInals. Very happy with this trade. Great move if you ask me. Edited June 24, 2011 by Built Ford Tough
