Lkr
"I love our fans. Cleveland fans are awesome," he told GQ. "But I mean, even my family gets spoiled at times watching me doing things that I do, on and off the court." For the record, he is not a fan of Cleveland either:James told GQ: "I understand that a lot of people would be hurt" in Cleveland by his decision, but also said that growing up, he and his friends from Akron didn't always like Cleveland. Akron is about 40 miles south of Cleveland. "It's not far, but it is far," James told GQ. "And Clevelanders, because they were the bigger-city kids when we were growing up, looked down on us. ... So we didn't actually like Cleveland. We hated Cleveland growing up. There's a lot of people in Cleveland we still hate to this day."http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5470162
Cleveland's Finest
Heat fans will still say something like, "Cleveland fans didn't deserve him. He spoiled them and they didn't respect him. It was his choice. He did what was best for his family." I'm from Akron, and have no animosity towards Cleveland. He's making this [expletive] up to make him look like some rebellious hero. La Bomba
That "I hated Cleveland as a kid" is quite possibly the dumbest thing I have ever read. He didn't like them because "the big city kids looked down on us?" If you hurt the fans, which he did, face up. You don't have to make up these bull[expletive] lies and make yourself sound like the victim of the situation. "Even my family gets spoiled at times watching me doing things that I do, on and off the court." Stay classy, LeBron.
Doc
He said when he was little he hated cleveland. Nothing really about him as an adult. I hated toronto when I was little, I love it now.
Cleveland's Finest
It makes me sick how he's trying so hard to make a war between the two cities. It's making me feel disgusted knowing I was born where LeBron was born. He's so into himself and his image. How ironic. He had no father and he's isolating himself from his kids and they are essentially fatherless, just they have all the perks.
Lkr
I love how he refers to himself in the 3rd person in the article as well.
