With Vick out and Kolb starting I'm not worried too much about Philly's offense, McCoy not might play either. Our offense needs to improve fast and this wouldn't be a bad game to show it since it is Sunday Night Football. Eagles are horrible against TE's so I expect Vernon to have a huge game, hopefully we dont shoot ourselves in the foot again and get our 1st win of the season.

This is the week the Niners get their first win. Kevin Kolb makes a dangerous Eagles offense look like a mediocre offense. The Eagles last week looked like the alot like the Niners offensively, too many horizontal passes to the backs (particularly McCoy)and not much vertically over 10 yards. Plus the Eagles have looked like crap defensively, so could be a breakout game for the Niners offense.

Ugh. I don't like our chances since Kolb is still starting and we didn't go after a replacement for McCoy hard enough(Mike Bell sucks, he's Lorenzo Booker 2.0)

Get well quickly, Vick.

I first want to give two servings of:

http://fatfinch.files.wordpress.com/2007/07/american-crow.jpg

The true crows are large passerine birds that form the genus Corvus in the family Corvidae. Ranging in size from the relatively small pigeon-sized jackdaws (Eurasian and Daurian) to the Common Raven of the Holarctic region and Thick-billed Raven of the highlands of Ethiopia, the 40 or so members of this genus occur on all temperate continents (except South America) and several offshore and oceanic islands (including Hawaii). In the United States and Canada, the word "crow" is used to refer to the American Crow. The crow is a year round species. The crow genus makes up a third of the species in the Corvidae family. Other corvids include rooks and jays. Crows appear to have evolved in Asia from the corvid stock, which had evolved in Australia. A group of crows is called a flock or a murder.

On to the main course.

Alex Smith finally has the same OC, Vernon Davis and Michael Crabtree emerged last year, and an improved O-Line. The defense was great last year, and will be even better if the offense plays better.

However, anything can happen, but I have high expectations.

Also, Michael Crabtree will outperform Desean Jackson.

And, for iBoldin, you do know Alex Smith had 18 TD's last year playing 11 1/2 games? He had an inexperienced Michael Crabtree, a makeshift offensive-line, a new OC, and an hurt HB. He can EASILY get 25 TD's.

I'll also start sipping the Kevin Kolb kool-aid, and say that he will have a very productive season.

- Just for the lols. Kevin Kolb is on the same level as Carson Palmer and Alex Smith.

...and Alex Smith will throw for 25+ TD's.

- EastCoastNiner, July 15th, 2010

Agreed with everything ECN has said. I also think Crabtree and Alex Smith will have breakout years with their O-Line much improved. I also think it's also safe to say that we will win our division (finally lol).

- Prodigy, July 16th, 2010

This is the first year that Alex Smith has a legitimate "fair" chance to succeed. He has the same OC from last season, which he's never had before, a re-made offensive-line, and a reliable receiving corps. If he doesn't do well this year, you will never hear me mention his name without the word bust associated, but I really think he will flourish, especially in the NFC West.

Alex Smith>>>>Aaron Rodgers

- Prodigy. Sarcasm, but still is lol worthy.

The two 1st round rookie O-linemen, Anthony Davis and Mike Iupati have already been named starters. They are going to beasssssstttttt this year.

I'm more worried about Davis than Iupati, but I think it will work out.

- ECN. Iupati has been good, but Davis is an abomination at Right Tackle. Move him inside.

I'm sure there are more gems out there.
