Owner Real Deal Posted August 25, 2010 Author Owner Report Share Posted August 25, 2010 Had to pin this topic so it wouldn't fall to the last page of the forum. Sorry for not having it available. I should've known when I said there were 255 topics posted...with 256 games in the season.
The Next Knick
I'm actually very excited for the start of a new season, especially a fresh start at a new stadium. We are, for once, in the Jets shadow. We need to prove to NY that we can be just as lethal as we were a little under 5 years ago.
Guru
I agree, we are once again the underdogs.

The Regime
If this matchup is half as good as it was last time, I'll be satisfied. I'm excited to see the offense with Stewart back in the mix. Matt Moore doesn't have a really tough task, hopefully he plays better than he did in the preseason. The Panther defense is really underrated heading into this season, don't be surprised if we manage to keep the Giants offense in check the entire game. As a matter of fact I think the winner of this game will be decided by 7 points or less.
NomarFachix
I think they're holding A. Ross out this game with his heel, so that he'll be ready for the pass heavy Colts. Really, really hoping that this defense looks good under Fewell. Lord knows we have the talent.
EastCoastNiner
The Giants are pretty big favorites in this game if you go by the spreads and money-line. I hope this is a great game, although I won't be able to see it because I'll be at the Patriots game.

NomarFachix
Hakeem Nicks Loves Dropping Passes. Wasn't a drop, ball was behind him and high. Witty, though.

NomarFachix
Hit him in both of his hands, he should have caught it even if it was high. Nah, only hit him in the right hand. It was behind, he only got one hand on it.
NomarFachix
Debatable. Very catchable pass, but the statement is still true either way. Statement isn't true IMO, because that isn't a categorized drop. Wouldn't show up on the stat sheet as one. But... Chicks love watching Hakeem Nicks score touchdowns. fish7718
Is it just me or did it look like Hakeem Nicks was oob on that TD? Giants may have caught a break there.

Chicks love watching Hakeem Nicks score touchdowns. It wouldn't? Can you list the specifications for a drop? And whether or not it's technically a drop, in essence it was. [expletive] was catchable. [expletive] was catchable. A drop is when you have the ball and drop it, not when it hits four fingers on one hand because it is high and behind you. Not catching a catchable (in your opinion) ball does not make it a drop, just like taking the wrong route on a ball in the outfield is not an error.
