EastCoastNiner
Which team do you think has the best WR/TE corps?
Make It Naaaashty
Not many teams that have a good TE and WR corp, but I would go with either Indi with Clark, Wayne, and Garcon or the Cowgirls with Austin, Witten, and Dez. EDIT: Depending on how good Gresham and the Cinci WR's do, they could be in this discussion. Edited August 27, 2010 by Prodigy
bigdog17k
Cincinnati. Gresham is going to be a beast.
Jenneral
I think it's the Packers. Jennings/Driver/Nelson/James with Finley at TE. We're going to have an amazing offense this year. :glasses:

EastCoastNiner
^ lol thats not a homer pick at all, Colts and Cowboys corp anyday over Pats.... You're right. It's a homer pick when I choose team that has the leagues receptions leader and second in yardage along with the league's TD leader who is also 5th in yards . EastCoastNiner
With no TE.... Are you out of your mind? Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez are going to be huge for the Patriots this year. . Hernandez had one or two TD's in week 2 of the pre-season and Gronkowski had two last night. All I hear from you is omg omg our defense is going to kill, blah blah, omg omg Brady is going to have 50+ TD year blah blah... [expletive], is Fred Taylor and Sammy Morris going to have break out years? Edited August 27, 2010 by Prodigy

Find me a team that has more productive WR's/TE's than Randy Moss and Wes Welker. Add in Julian Edelman, Brandon Tate, Rob Gronkowski, and Aaron Hernandez, and you won't find it. . I'd put the Colts and Cowbys slightly behind them. Edited August 27, 2010 by EastCoastNiner

Taber
Agreed on the Patriots, homer pick? Maybe but they are clearly up there and if the TEs perform the way they have been in preseason then yes they have the best group. I think if Fred Taylor stays healthy he will play well, he started to last year before he went down. I mean he is 16th all time rusher so its not like he sucks. You would be saying the same thing prior to the 2007-2008 season, and how'd that turn out? Please, educate me how they shouldn't be considered as one of the best if not the best? And, once you reply with a logical response(which won't happen), I will provide you with facts. You should try actually watching the games for once. You say the same thing all of the time and make claims that you can't back up. You probably don't even know who Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez, Julian Edelman, or Brandon Tate are. . When they score the most points this year, you'll still say that they shouldn't be considered. . The Great iBoldin
I really like a lot of cores this year because the depth coming from the NCAA is amazing. The underclassmen numbers at the skill positions have gone up and it's allowing for better teams. The Spread has helped tremendously with that regard too. New England, the Jets, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Houston, San Diego (Vincent Jackson included I suppose, I don't think they're much without him though, certainly not top ten), Dallas, Philly, Minnesota, Green Bay, and New Orleans are my top twelve. In the mix are Arizona, San Fran (potentially), dare I say Detroit? Could also see the Giants. I always see a lot of people applauding the New Orleans receiving core, and it's happening in this threat. That's a misconception in my opinion. Drew Brees and the scheme make those receivers what they are, besides perhaps Colston, and a very slim chance with Shockey. It's not even a top five core, Drew Brees is the one doing all the ravaging. He makes a lot of those receivers who they are. Henderson, Lance Moore, Meachem, etc. I do think Jimmy Graham can be a player, though. Here's a good blog post on New Orleans and why they tick: http://smartfootball.com/gameplanning/sean-payton-breaks-down-his-super-bowl-script. Awesome break down of their Super Bowl and what they do schematically. ECN said it, I love Green Bay this year. So much. Rodgers is going to ravage teams, it's going to be ruthless. The offensive line has been improved, it'll give him time and his versatility is special. Mike McCarthy has also done a good job mixing schemes, hitting short, intermediate and deep routes with timing, precision, all that jazz. The patented slants play is almost unstoppable against a lot of situations, especially Man, and they have YAC monsters in Jennings, Driver, Jordy Nelson and James Jones. Jermichael Finley can be, but he's more of a seams guy and he'll be huge down in the red zone. Trust me, it'll be good fun watching this team, that offense will be special. I touch on Green Bay more in my "Pick Six" column I'm releasing along with my blog tomorrow.

Have your opinions changed, especially after the great ECN let you all know what was about to hit the NFL? Who has the best WR/TE's in the NFL right now, and who are the top 10 TE's in the NFL? The Pats WR core was trash last year. Counting on two rookie TE's is still moronic. At the time it was a very dumb pick so whatever I stand by what I said, unproven rookie TE's and ECN hops all over them.
