EastCoastNiner
Which team do you think has the best LB corps?
NomarFachix
Hummmmm Ravens? Ray Lewis, Suggs, Barnes (he starting at the other ILB?), Jarrett Johnson, Sergio Kindle
Make It Naaaashty
Probably the Ravnes but you could maybe make a case with maybe Redskins with Orakpo, Fletcher, Carter, and McIntosh. Or the 49ers with Willis, Spikes, and Lawson.
BasX
Harrison, Farrior, Timmons, Woodley
Make It Naaaashty
^ Totally forgot about them lol, its very close between them and the Ravns imo. ECN should put a poll up.
The Regime
Harrison, Farrior, Timmons, Woodley Steelers would get my vote, but if Suggs can get back to Pro Bowl form and if Sergio Kindel can stay healthy then the Ravens are right up there amongst the best. fish7718
I don't think it's the best but it's of the best, Dallas Ware-James-Brooking-Spencer (if Spencer plays the way he did at the end of 09)

The Great iBoldin
Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Houston, Dallas, Minnesota (small extent, fairly underrated group when Henderson is healthy), Chicago, Atlanta (if Spoon plays well, I love Lofton), Tampa Bay (underrated, good stable of fast 'backers who think well), San Francisco and Seattle are probably the top ten, and I think teams like Jacksonville, Cincinnati, the Jets, Philadelphia, etc. are acceptable as well. As I touched on above, I think the Falcons could coax a nice trio out of what they have. Spoon is going to be a monster either at the SAM or WILL, it doesn't matter, within two years he's a 100-tackle type of guy. Lofton is a leader and really lays a boom on running backs. Sound tackler with great instincts. Really transformed since he left the Sooners. It's also somewhat tough to distinguish linebacker corps' because of the different alignments. I don't really like to lump 34 and 43 together because they all have different responsibilities. Usually in the 34 the two outside guys would normally be your ends, your speed rushers. The Tampa 2 has somewhat of an impact too, because in Tampa and Minnesota, and a little bit of Jacksonville and Atlanta, you preach speed and critical thinking to overcome the obvious size issues. A lot of variables to take into account when making a simple list.
fish7718
Talk about a homer pick. .No a homer pick would be saying they are the best, but to blindly dismiss that Dallas doesn't a top line backing core is moronic. It's a good point to mention the difference in systems, if Houston ran a 3-4 they'd def have a better core than Dallas, but since Mario is a DE than you can make the argument Dallas is better. Really the thread should be titled "best front 7's" Edited August 28, 2010 by Fish7718
