Make It Naaaashty
Its a toss up between the Vikings, Giants, and Colts. I would take the Vikings since they have the pass rush and run defense with that d line.
Lkr
I'll take the Vikings without much thought to it. The Colts and Giants have great lines as well, and I don't think these are pointed out as much because the rest of those defenses struggled at points last season. Guru
Vikings, the Giants have a solid line but are too inconsistent.
The Great iBoldin
Miami with Merling was actually a great defensive line, all of them fit Parcells' two-gap system (although I think he tends to get away from that sometimes, Merling was a possible one-gap guy at Clemson, extremely athletic) but I think Odrick brings them down a peg until he really learns the NFL game. Pittsburgh's gotten a lot older but they're still special. As is Baltimore (Love Ngata, have ever since he came out of UO) and Cincinnati. Hell, I even like Cleveland when Rodgers has his Goddamn head on straight. Indianapolis has a special pair of ends but NOTHING inside. I hate that. Hopefully Moala shows something because I hate how they trot out garbage in the middle and put unnecessary pressure on two special players. Oakland is surprisingly decent. Jay Ratliff makes Dallas really swell at that position, and Wade does a good job with his scheme there. I'd love New York if Tuck could stay healthy, they start Linval Joseph and JPP flashes some things I know he will this season and beyond (possible monster there) and Osi comes back to play at least a fraction at what he did when he tore that ACL. Philadelphia's bookends are outstanding, Graham is a perennial double digit sack guy who is also a jack of all trades player. Trent Cole is one of the best three-down ends in the league, bar none. Need a little more inside though, as well. Minnesota is probably my number one. Green Bay has some nice individual 34 talent. Need some depth behind those guys though. Surprisingly LOVE Detroit, it totally fits what Schwartz tries to do with getting a ton of pressure with just four guys, a key cog in his machine there. Suh, Corey Williams, Lee Hill, Vanden Bosche, Cliff Avril, that's a stacked line. Avril has potential and he'll get a lot of one on one time which he's never gotten before. I think Arizona has a top five unit here, San Francisco isn't bad. Tampa Bay is doing things right building from the Inside out. Interesting philosophy because I think Brian Price has been superb in camp and Gerald McCoy is Gerald McCoy.
fish7718
Vikings #1 by a long shot, amazing line. How effective do you think Starks is going to be a NT? I heard talks people think he can be as effective as Ratliff, or at least that's what the coaches are saying in practice. The Great iBoldin
That'd be my biggest concern, but I think he might not be too bad. You can get by with average nose guard play if you get great play from your five-techniques, which is why it's critical for their rotations to keep fresh, and a player like Odrick to play well from day one. I think it may effect Dansby the most, he had great play in front of him by both Calais Campbell and Darnell Dockett and could flow to the ball fairly uninterrupted a lot, that won't happen as often in Miami.
