ChosenOne
CLICK TO SEE!New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks and Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor each were fined $10,000 by the NFL for their fight during an Aug. 12 preseason game at New Meadowlands Stadium, The Star-Ledger reported Friday. AFC information manager Corry Rush told the Newark, N.J., newspaper that both players were cited for "after the play was over, unnecessarily striking an opponent in the head area." Nicks and Taylor were ejected on the fourth play of the Steelers' 24-17 victory, after Giants running back D.J. Ware had a 4-yard run to Pittsburgh 49. Nicks was blocking Taylor downfield when tempers flared and a number of punches were exchanged. At least three officials tossed flags. NFL.com I still don't understand why someone would want to punch a guy with a helmet on. Edited August 28, 2010 by ChosenOne
NomarFachix
Nicks was blocking downfield when Taylor flipped [expletive] and threw a bevvy of punches... Nicks really didn't fight at all. I was surprised they were both tossed, even more surprised that Nicks was fined.
fish7718
Ike was probably wondering why WR's were actually blocking in preseason
