Cobb
Can't you Philly fans be happy winning the Wild Card?
Phightins
Can't you Philly fans be happy winning the Wild Card? I'd be fine with it, I just want the Phillies to get into the playoffs, because I will take my chances with a healthy Phillies team in a 5 or 7 game series against any other team in the league, home field or not. But the division is way cooler . Edited August 30, 2010 by Phightins
Cobb
Assuming the standings stay as they are, all you guys have to do it take care of the Padres and we'll you guys in the NLCS. :glasses:
Phightins
I think the best scenario would be if both teams have playoff spots locked up by the final weekend, so all that series determines is who wins the division and who is the wild card. It also would be a pretty wicked NLCS.
Phightins
Are the Mets good for anything?....
Cobb
Can't hold a lead once again. GonzaLOLez's defense has been horrible of late.
Phightins
I wish "mental errors" could be charged. Doc's ERA should not have to suffer because of this [expletive]-show.

Phightins
[expletive] this. Doc got BABIP'd to death in the first inning and gives up 2 avoidable runs, and the Phillies hitters look clueless against a mediocre pitcher. Quite typical. This team can waste a great pitching performance like no other. Edited August 31, 2010 by Phightins

This team can waste a great pitching performance like no other. Austin Jackson's BABiP is .421. Ridiculous, it's amazing he hasn't come back down to Earth yet. Extended luck doesn't typically run this long.
Phightins
I wish the stat for most times a team has been no-hit into the fifth or sixth inning was more easily accessible. Seems like it happens with the Phillies every week or 2. Against mediocre pitchers, too.
Phightins
Also, I [expletive]ing hate Rod Barajas.
Phightins
It would be nice if the Phillies actually looked like they had a plan or something. Kuroda is not dominating anybody, the Phillies are swinging at whatever garbage he throws early in the count.
Brand New
Not surprised that Victorino broke the no hitter. http://www.signonsandiego.com/uniontrib/20081013/images/sp-dodgers280.jpg Edited August 31, 2010 by Brand New
Phightins
I wish there was a way to convince the Phillies it is mid-October whenever they go to Dodger Stadium in the regular season.
Cobb
The tarp at Tuner Field was quite helpful last night.
