Why? Microsoft are such greedy terds. They already rip us off by charging $50, plus paying for DLC, now we have to pay $60 a year to go online? The price should go down, not up.

Sadly, people will still pay for it. So it only gives Microsoft more money to spend on useless services like facebook and twitter, and exclusive DLC which once again, people buy anyways.

lol because of 10 dollars? It's really no big deal at all, I'll still play Xbox over PS3 we get the DLC first and my friends play it. Holy [expletive], 60 dollars every year, now im really [expletive]ed, I don't know how i'll ever save up enough money to pay for that.

They should raise it to 200$ a year so all the annoying halo kiddies would disapeer.. jk

I dont see a reason to raise the price, 50$ is already pretty hefty, but I would gladly pay 60$ a year for the nintendo wii if they had an online system comparable to xbl.

The funny part is I had XB0X 360 from the day it came out up until about a year ago. It broke, got frustrated, went to a PS3...And the online service is actually better (for me at least) on PS3 then it EVER was paying for it on XBOX live!

I was mad at first, but then when I looked at it, its less than $1 per month. PSN doesn't even compare, so I'll still pay. The worst part about XBL is that it is basically paying for a tunneling service, but the invite, party systems and the ease of use make it worth it. In game PSN doesn't even compare to the XBL guide, for example

XBL isnt even that good really the games are so laggy sometimes and DONT tell me its my connection brah I have a great connection but even when I play with my friends as host sometimes the games are so laggy. Mainly in MW2, but idk if thats just the game or the servers. A lot of games lag out and [expletive] and its really annoying, not even a 50 dollar connection.

Like I said, XBL is just tunnel software. It IS a combination of bad connections from you and your friends/opponents.

BTW, never buy XBL directly from MS. It is always cheaper on newegg, tigerdirect, amazon, etc

Guys buying like 3, one year subscriptions is probably what they want us to do, they get more money in a short period of time because everyone wants to buy multiple one year cards before it goes to $60. Sure to you its 10 dollars, but multiply that by over 1 million users on xbox live, they are getting more money than they need. I am saying, they already have an [expletive] load of money, why not ease up rather than ask for even more? If I was Microsoft I would make it like $30, so the cheap people that only have PS3 because its free online will transfer over to Xbox, and then those guys have to buy controllers, games, DLC, and so on. Works out better in the long run.

Also, PS3 online blowwwwwwws a big one. No one ever has a mic, everyone has like 500 accounts so you don't know if someone blows or if they made a new account. You can't chat across games and thats just the start. So really, XBL gives you a lot of good features, but they charge you for the useless things like Facebook, twitter and all that. All I use is the online service, and party chat, they should have separate packages depending on what you want. I don't use Facebook, or twitter, so I shouldn't have to pay for it.
