Cardinals discussing trades for Leinart

The Bills should seriously inquire about him. Trent Edwards is brutal and they have no real depth behind him. He'd probably be the back-up until Edwards is too brutal to have in their anymore and he'd be the incumbent. Perfect.

It's better then cutting our losses with him and not getting anything in reward at all.

He really just seems uncomfortable, it has been long enough in the league and under the same coach/system he should have got use to the flow of the game already. Yeah he is completing over 80% of his throws but when they are 4 yard dump downs that really don't count for anything. I cant see any team willing to give up much for him, the Bills could probably offer the most for him but that again wont be much. I say just keep him as a back up and think of something for him this off season or when the trade deadline gets closer during the season.

Not sure why the Cardinals want to trade him. He's 10x better then Derek Anderson.

It's been the other way around in pre-season, and Leinart has gotten a free pass for far too long. The Cards couldn't even garner a first down with Leinart, at least Anderson is putting them in scoring position.

Either way, John Skelton and/or Max Hall will be the starter (s) by the end of the year, Arizona really likes both of them (especially Hall).

From what I've observed this preseason is Leinart just can't convert 3rd downs it seems. But he hasn't been exactly terrible outside of that. Why don't the Cards just hang on to him? What would they get for Leinart anyway?

I heard they would probably deal him for a 4th round pick, Leinart was drafted #10 overall 4 years ago. If I was the Cards I would keep him and at least give him an opportunity to start in the regular season.
