Owner Real Deal Posted September 1, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted September 1, 2010 They are discussing trade possibilities with the Raiders, Giants and Bills, as reported on ESPN a few seconds ago.
Lkr
Heard it this morning on the radio. He is a bigger busy than Reggie Bush. No reason for the Raiders or Giants to pick him up at all.
fish7718
I agree he is busier than Reggie Bush, would be an upgrade for the Bills though.
The Great iBoldin
The Bills should seriously inquire about him. Trent Edwards is brutal and they have no real depth behind him. He'd probably be the back-up until Edwards is too brutal to have in their anymore and he'd be the incumbent. Perfect. It's better then cutting our losses with him and not getting anything in reward at all.
NomarFachix
Giants had an initial conversation and it didn't last long, didn't like what they heard. Not disappoint.

NomarFachix
Why? ^^
The Great iBoldin
I would think the Giants would like to keep Bomar anyways. Young, good back-up quarterback and he's flashed a little bit in the pre-season. More then last year, anyway. I'd keep him then bring in Leinart. ChosenOne
He really just seems uncomfortable, it has been long enough in the league and under the same coach/system he should have got use to the flow of the game already. Yeah he is completing over 80% of his throws but when they are 4 yard dump downs that really don't count for anything. I cant see any team willing to give up much for him, the Bills could probably offer the most for him but that again wont be much. I say just keep him as a back up and think of something for him this off season or when the trade deadline gets closer during the season. Cobb
Not sure why the Cardinals want to trade him. He's 10x better then Derek Anderson.
The Great iBoldin
Not sure why the Cardinals want to trade him. He's 10x better then Derek Anderson. It's been the other way around in pre-season, and Leinart has gotten a free pass for far too long. The Cards couldn't even garner a first down with Leinart, at least Anderson is putting them in scoring position. Either way, John Skelton and/or Max Hall will be the starter (s) by the end of the year, Arizona really likes both of them (especially Hall). bigdog17k
From what I've observed this preseason is Leinart just can't convert 3rd downs it seems. But he hasn't been exactly terrible outside of that. Why don't the Cards just hang on to him? What would they get for Leinart anyway? Make It Naaaashty
From what I've observed this preseason is Leinart just can't convert 3rd downs it seems. But he hasn't been exactly terrible outside of that. Why don't the Cards just hang on to him? What would they get for Leinart anyway? I heard they would probably deal him for a 4th round pick, Leinart was drafted #10 overall 4 years ago. If I was the Cards I would keep him and at least give him an opportunity to start in the regular season. NomarFachix
0 chance the Cards get a 4th for him. Productive players went for a 4th this offseason, I can't see Leinart going for higher than a 6th... and that's if they eat some cash or he restructures his contract. Universe
I hope the Bills get him because I've still not gone to a game because it's a waste of money watching them play.
