Cleveland's Finest
The past few years, LA has been dominant in these openers. So I expect to see the same. It'll be nice to see Yao back in a Rockets uniform and on the court.
Make It Naaaashty
Even without Bynum, I have a feeling LA is going to dominate this game from the start. It's going to be nice to see Yao back on the floor even though his minutes have been decreased.
The Regime
Sucks I'll be at school for the first three quarters.
Lkr
Excited to see Yao back, he is a great global leader for the game of basketball(I won't get into one of my long rants about how great he is here though). Obviously its ring night, expect the Lakers to send a message to the rest of the league(*cough*Heat*cough*) that they are the two time defending champions and they have to be knocked off first. Have any ring pics been shown yet?
Dash
I know Kobe is hurt and Bynum is out but I'm still very excited for this game. A win here for Houston would send a message to the rest of the NBA that we are not meant to be taken lightly.
Owner Real Deal Posted October 26, 2010 Author Owner Report Share Posted October 26, 2010 Not really expecting much from Bryant, unfortunately. The preseason really turned that smile into a frown. Gasol and Odom time, I guess. Still...you can't tell from the post, but I'm excited for this season to begin, excited to see every team play. Warren2ThaG
A win will do, if we have a nice lead we might blow it.
ChosenOne
Cant wait for this game, especially after me not being able to catch much of this preseason. Lets go Yao, Scola, Martin, Lee, Brooks. I expect alot from this line up especially from Lee I think he will be a pleasant surprise for Rocket fans and the glue for our starting line up. Our Top 3 players for the game: Martin - 24 pts 5 rebs 3 astYao - 18 pts 12 rebs 2 blksBrooks - 16 pts 6 ast 4 to Rockets by 8.

GamerGuy
Missed out on all the gameday posts, but wow! What an opening game that was. Looks like Houston is going to be better than people expect them to be this year, and as long as Yao stays healthy, I would think they would be a strong presence in the western conference. N.1.A.K.
ill say this again, but less in-depth if the Lakers don't find a big they can use off the bench... Ratliff and Caracter don't count... they won't have the success that most people are proclaiming they will have...Dampier anyone?
Owner Real Deal Posted October 28, 2010 Author Owner Report Share Posted October 28, 2010 ill say this again, but less in-depth if the Lakers don't find a big they can use off the bench... Ratliff and Caracter don't count... they won't have the success that most people are proclaiming they will have...Dampier anyone? Why is that? They've gone three seasons with Bynum hobbling around, playing injured in two playoff visits and missing one altogether, missing the second halves of seasons, and we have two rings and three Finals appearances out of it. And that's with DJ Mbenga being the only backup center. Ratliff was very good for us that first game, defensively. We don't need Dampier. He's a disaster...which is why no team wants him now.
