Erick Blasco
Arenas loses Felton off a screen, Felton hits a wide open jumper.
Erick Blasco
Knicks no interior help, give up a layup to Nelson. Then Chandler airballs a three for the Knicks fourth hideous shot.
Erick Blasco
Gallo didn't need to help as much as he did, Chandler was right with Nelson. Gallo's overhlp leads to a three for Redick.
Erick Blasco
Howard posts up and throws a pass out of bounds. Not good post offense.
Erick Blasco
The Knicks offense has gone totally cold with Stoudemire on the bench and some ugly shooting.
Erick Blasco
Now that New York has started to play some better opponents, their lack of size, their inability to rebound, and their lack of depth are really being picked apart. Erick Blasco
Wilson Chandler is playing the center. This is trouble for the Knicks.
Erick Blasco
But instead of posting Howard, the Magic run screen/roll.
Erick Blasco
There's the postup and the Knicks predictably have no answer,
Erick Blasco
Williams just drops a pass that hits him right in the hands. The Knicks need to keep executing or they'll get blown out...as Fields is late on a rotation and Bass dunks, plus a foul.
Erick Blasco
Ray Felton isn't trying to finish strong enough. He's trying to put up scoop layups over Earl Clark instead of going through him. On the other defensive end, Williams isn't as good at zoning an area as New York's more conventional bigs and this is turning into a blowout. GamerGuy
Erick is tearing this thread up. Â Just turned the game on, Magic are up by a nice chunk of points going into the half.
Erick Blasco
I really love when the Knicks curl Stoudemire off of an elbow screen. It's such a strange play and real tough for opponents to stop.
Erick Blasco
Bass simply isn't comfortable on the perimeter. He goes under a brush screen, Chandler ends up making a wide open three.
Erick Blasco
Nice playcall, Nelson curls off a double screen, ends up with Chandler on him, sinks a step back jumper.
Erick Blasco
Wilson Chandler and Amar'e Stoudemire are the only players playing well for the Knicks right now.
Erick Blasco
Howard is so strong, he doesn't need to extend his arms and shove away Galinari to post up. They're not just offensive fouls, they're unnecessary fouls.
Erick Blasco
The Knicks forwards are clobbering the Magic on the boards when Howard isn't around. And the Knicks' starting unit is playing active defense.
Erick Blasco
Stoudemire moves over smartly, draws a charge. He's a better defender in New York than he ever was in Phoenix.
Erick Blasco
Stoudemire bites on Turkoglu pump fake and picks up his 4th foul. Huge turning point in this game.
Erick Blasco
Orlando isn't sagging their wings into the paint on screens because Turiaf isn't a threat near the basket. Howard can zone screens, and the wings don't have to stray far from their checks along the perimeter.
Erick Blasco
J.J. Redick has evolved into a terrific player over the past few years. He just hit a step back jumper very impressively.
Erick Blasco
That's a forced shot by Arenas. There's no room to shoot over Stoudemire, and then Arenas commits a double dribble. No focus.
Erick Blasco
Whenever the Knicks make a run, Stoudemire picks up a foul and has to take a seat on the bench,
Erick Blasco
Shawne Williams hits a three and gives up two more but not bothering to stay with the ball-handler going to the basket.
