Nitro
I think McGrady is better suited for a team like Chicago, personally. I agree, but I do think he'd be a nice fit on LA, assuming they're not happy with Artest and looking to make a move.

The Truth
I agree, but I do think he'd be a nice fit on LA, assuming they're not happy with Artest and looking to make a move.acquiring McGrady would probably screw up their chemistry even more, seeing as how he would take minutes from Artest. if you're suggesting they trade Artest altogether, I can't think of anyone who'd be interested, considering his contract. Nitro
acquiring McGrady would probably screw up their chemistry even more, seeing as how he would take minutes from Artest. if you're suggesting they trade Artest altogether, I can't think of anyone who'd be interested, considering his contract. Right now Artest should have minutes taken away from him. His defense continues to slip, he doesn't produce and his TS% is a HORRIFIC 47%. It's bad enough that Fisher is an inefficient, one-dimensional player that's starting, but having two is very hard to overcome, especially when Artest isn't playing like an elite defensive player. T-Mac would make the offense run so, so much smoother. He has the handles, passing ability and IQ of a PG in a SF's body, and he still has the ability to score, rebound and play average defense. I was implying that they should move Artest. I agree his contract is a [expletive], but he could potentially be useful off the bench for a team like the Thunder, who have weak backup wings and could use a veteran (and also have a low payroll to take on his contract). A 3 or 4 team trade would be required for the Lakers to acquire an upgrade like Prince, and players like Brown would need to be involved. Regardless, I really do think the Lakers need an upgrade at SF, whether it be by keeping Artest but reducing his role to backup, or getting rid of him altogether. Maybe not for Prince and/or T-Mac, but it needs to be done.
Lemon
As long as we're pointing out stats, let's look see at Bynum's numbers. 6-6 FG, 6 boards, 0 TO, 2 Assists in 22 mins. Our boy's all grown up.
The Truth
I was implying that they should move Artest.well, this is intriguing. I'm comparing their stats and Barnes is putting up better numbers than Artest. Barnes is averaging about five minutes of playing time less, but still leading him in points, rebounds, and they're the same in assists. Barnes is also a much better shooter, by the numbers. trading Artest for an expiring and extending the younger, more versatile Barnes might actually be their best option. Barnes is a California native, he seems to enjoy playing for the Lakers, and his energy and athleticism almost resemble that of Ariza. there might be a couple teams interested in Artest. I could see the Cavs and as you said, the Thunder, having interest. although, if they were to trade Ron, they'd need a SF. Barnes can't play all 48 and Walton is a joke. maybe they could send Artest to Cleveland for Ryan Hollins and Jamario Moon. another possibility might be Artest to OKC for... I can't think of anyone lol. of course, there's always the potential for three or four team deals. I'm guessing there's a club or two out there that would be willing to take Artest, allowing the Lakers to extend Barnes and get younger/better at the three spot. The Regime
I missed the game last night, but it's nice to see us win by a sizable amount against a terrible team. Congrats to Kobe who passed Dominique Wilkins for 10th place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list with 26,671 points.
