The Regime
Chris Mullin is a horrible tv personality.
Make It Naaaashty
Dudlley played terrific in the first half but we can't afford to let him cool down, keep looking for him everytime we drive and he'll keep knocking them down. It's going to take a nearly perfect 2nd half to get this win though.
Erick Blasco
Mullin talking about Phil Jackson teams being able to defend the three, but not tonight? The problem would be the mismatches and the pick and rolls. Otherwise, the Lakers usually always defend the three well. In fact, the Lakers have been one of the worst teams at defending the PNR since the Kobe/Shaq days. Yeah, when they have Bynum and Gasol, it's hard for those guys to zone areas, especially for Gasol this year. Plus the Lakers interior rotations are poor. Warren2ThaG
Can't we experiment Barnes in the starting lineup over Artest?
Erick Blasco
Can't we experiment Barnes in the starting lineup over Artest? If you do something like that, Artest would probably take it personally and play with worse effort. That isn't what you want with Artest. Erick Blasco
Not the best pass to shoot off of, it was at Fisher's feet.
Erick Blasco
Artest is too strong for Carter. VC is really hurting the Suns.
Owner Real Deal Posted January 6, 2011 Author Owner Report Share Posted January 6, 2011 Artest needs to come back inside and post up Carter. Vince is so intimidated down low, he even grabs Ron on his attempted rebounds.
The Regime
Good start to the half, much better on both ends of the floor.
Erick Blasco
Just like what the Lakers did in the first half. Set up the Triangle with a weak-side flash or cross screen to get Artest in the post. He's punishing the Suns. This is why the Magic got rid of Carter. This is how he plays against good teams. Not only is Carter a bad post defender, but he can't hold anyone on the perimeter, either.
Erick Blasco
Nice offense by the Suns, curl off a Frye screen, Gasol has to help, Frye pops open for a three. Tough play to stop.

He's always been all flash, no substance. He's always been this bad on defense.
Erick Blasco
This is one of the smartest offensive games Kobe has played all season.
The Regime
Pau calling for the ball against Frye, he would play assertive against a weak [expletive] defender.

Alonzo Mourning, and many other victims, have been put on a poster by Vince...and he's put up a 360 layup on the Lakers at least 20 times in his career (it seems). WTF is up with all of the techs? Erick Blasco
Gortat has played some solid defense, blocking a Gasol reverse layup attempt.

Erick Blasco
Man, what a bounce pass by Nash to beat the rotation. Artest is a half step late and has to foul.
Owner Real Deal Posted January 6, 2011 Author Owner Report Share Posted January 6, 2011 Good thing Amare isn't playing for the Suns right now. He would have 50 points against Gasol tonight.
