Owner Real Deal Posted January 6, 2011 Author Owner Report Share Posted January 6, 2011 I think Kobe's normal rest period is from around the 3 minute mark of the 1st to about the 7 minute mark of the second. It's going to be a fast paced game, might be good to steal an extra minute of rest. That's basically what Phil does for him in the 3rd, also...sometimes having to bring him back in a little earlier in the 4th. Erick Blasco
NO FOUL ERICK. Yeah, I rewatched it, Bynum went straight up.
Erick Blasco
Odom is torching Frye. Frye didn't box out on a couple of boards and he just missed a jumper. Odom hit a jumper right over him also.
Owner Real Deal Posted January 6, 2011 Author Owner Report Share Posted January 6, 2011 Yeah, I rewatched it, Bynum went straight up. I wish Shannon would've made that dunk.
Erick Blasco
Gasol is doing a poor job zoning on screens. A better pass by Dragic and the Suns would've had a wide open three. Gasol isn't bringing his A-Game.
Erick Blasco
Gasol just got split on another screen and it took flawless perimeter rotations to save another three.

Erick Blasco
Lakers getting fastbreak points, where has this been the last few games. They weren't facing teams playing Phoenix' transition defense.
Erick Blasco
Dudley's providing a nice boost for Phoenix. He's a tough dude that has athleticism and a nice touch on his jumpers. Very useful player.
Owner Real Deal Posted January 6, 2011 Author Owner Report Share Posted January 6, 2011 Gasol doesn't do near as much as he did last year. He stands around half the time.
Erick Blasco
Gasol doesn't do near as much as he did last year. He stands around half the time. Which is discouraging because the Lakers need him if they want to three-peat.
The Regime
Nice opening quarter. Lakers are still playing lackidasical defense, we're lucky the Suns are missing so many good looks.
Owner Real Deal Posted January 6, 2011 Author Owner Report Share Posted January 6, 2011 Which is discouraging because the Lakers need him if they want to three-peat.It's weird because the rest he got over the summer was supposed to do him good (he didn't play for Spain), but it seems like Odom found it an advantage playing for Team USA, while Gasol acts like he can't wait until the season is over. Erick Blasco
That may have been Shannon's rotation...it's easier for Gasol to run to the corner not the wing.
Erick Blasco
Good rotation by Odom, forcing Frye to travel.

Erick Blasco
Pietrus messed that play up by not putting up an open three, but there's Dudley with a reverse layup in traffic. This guy can really play. (even though he let Shannon Brown go coast to coast earlier).
Erick Blasco
Uh, time to put Kobe back in? He'll probably come in the first dead ball after the break. I think the perimeter unit for the Lakers is playing okay.
The Regime
Shannon Brown and Steve Blake have done a great job off the bench. Too bad we keep biting on every pumpfakes or keep giving up open shots. Gasol is such a [expletive].
