Built Ford Tough
Sonny Weems makes his return to the lineup tonight after missing the previous 11 games. Should be interesting to see how many minutes he gets and how many shots per minute he takes. He has got a lot of chucking to make up for. I won't be able to watch much of this game, like usual. I have class in an hour and a half so I'll be able to watch probably the 1st quarter and that is is. I can't even remember the last full Raptor game I've been able to watch. Cobb
Jeff Teague is killing me. He dribbles down the court to call a timeout and gets the ball stolen from him while trying to call a timeout. Only up 3 now. Toronto's coming back. Cobb
Raptors have no answer for Jamal Crawford. He finished with 25 in the first half.
*Swish*
60-55 halftime. Not bad not bad Raps..
Cobb
Well, that 3rd quarter was rather ugly. Jamal Crawford didn't score a single point and the Hawks managed to lose a nine point lead.
Built Ford Tough
Why would you draw up a play for Calderon considering Bargnani and Barbosa both have 20+ points on 50%+ shooting? Terrible play call and the turnover was a result of that. And then the 3 to tie the game comes from 35 feet away from Bargnani. Jesus christ, the Raptors just can't run any late game plays well. I find it hilarious how Devlin was saying how great a look that was. Newsflash, Bargnani was wide open because he was 35 feet away from the damn basket. Of course he will be wide open. Cobb
Instant replay saved the Hawks. I would have been pretty mad if we ended up losing because of that awful call earlier in the 4th quarter (I think) where the ball went off Barbosa's foot and was called TOR ball. Built Ford Tough
Instant replay saved the Hawks. I would have been pretty mad if we ended up losing because of that awful call earlier in the 4th quarter (I think) where the ball went off Barbosa's foot and was called TOR ball. I didn't see the call as I just got home from class with about 3 minutes left, but no matter how bad a call it may have been, that would be an awful excuse to use to justify the Hawks losing. Judging from the box score, the reason why the Hawks would've lost this game would be from their abysmal, 15 point, sub 40% shooting third quarter. Blaming one bad call for an excuse is one of the most annoying things that a fan base does. Not only do the bad calls even themselves out over time, 99% of the time you can't point to one specific call and legitimately say that is the reason why the game was decided one way or the other. Owner Real Deal Posted January 13, 2011 Author Owner Report Share Posted January 13, 2011 Crawford was locked up in that third, didn't hit anything after having that crazy first half. I saw a bit of the fourth, too...and I really thought that Bargs was going to hit that three at the end, haha. Pretty close.
*Swish*
We couldn't stop Crawford and Bibby hit a huge three. We gave up that lead but nothing to be mad of. As long as my Raptors play with heart I'm happy

Fortunately we were able to turn things around though.
Built Ford Tough
I noticed this in the first half and was going to post about it but I forgot to mention it before leaving. What is up with the blue headbands the Raptors are wearing? Ed Davis had one on tonight and I've seen Julian Wright wearing one in previous game highlights as well. None of the Hawks were wearing any of them so is it just a Raptor thing? I've never seen the team wear blue headbands before. I've seen them wear purple, red, purple and white/black mixtures as well as red and black/white mixtrues, but I've never seen them wear blue ones before. As far as positives to take from this game from a Raptors standpoint, this is the 2nd straight game that they've scored 60+ points in the paint. They are something like 4th or 5th in the NBA in points in the paint per game which is something to be proud of considering for as long as I can remember this team has been labeled as a soft, jump shootnig team that shies away from contact. Cobb
LMAO, just read online that Etan Thomas didn't travel with the Hawks to Toronto for Wednesday's game due to being snowed in at his home.
Check my Stats
I think the blue head bands have something to do with the warm ups they are wearing as well. I don't know what it is, but yeah. I really hope we can deal Barbosa though. I know he had a great game, and helped us stay in it, but I would rather see Demar shoot 4/17 than see him stop shooting after 11 shots. I missed the game, but I was told he had all 9 pts in the first quarter then never scored again, so annoying. Also our late game plays are so bad lol. I almost think Triano IS tanking this year with some of the plays he draws up at the end of games. Normally he draws up really solid plays when he gets a timeout. Newman
^ NBA Fit is represented by the colour blue and I think that is why teams wore blue warm-ups and wore a blue headband.
