magicbalala245
They were only down by like 4 or 5 with 5 minutes to go with 4 minutes left in the game. They really let this one slipped today and Kobe seemed like the only one who wanted to win today.
magicbalala245
And to be honest with ourself we have not one win against a contender this year yet at all. We lost to Boston, Miami, San Antonio.
Cobb
The top NBA teams are much better this year, which mean you can't just coast to the finals. Seems like Boston realizes that, and the Lakers don't.

The Regime
Why because he was the only one who touched the ball on offense? I'm sure some of the other guys would have loved the ball. And that's exactly why I sometimes think we don't get the most out of them. We want Bynum and Pau to grab rebounds and play defense but at the same time they aren't involved in the offense and they lose interest in the game. We saw that today in the 4th quarter. AboveLegit
Lakers ball movement was atrocious. So much ball stopping They have now lost by double digits to the Heat, Spurs, and Celtics (two of those coming at home), and they happen to be their main competition if they want to win the title. I'm a little skeptical as to how turned in they are right now, that attitude does have a tendency to carry over at the worst possible time. If your losing interest in playing a basketball game against your rivals then you should just sit your [expletive] on the bench. Gasol + Bynum need to stop playing soft. That's two nights in a row now against Cousins and the Celtic bigs even though the Celtics big were in foul trouble regarding Shaq + Perkins. The interior presence for the Lakers is marshmallow like. I'm really now hoping for a trade that will bring a back up big that is physical presence down low.
Cobb
This loss puts the Lakers 0-4 against MAJOR title contenders: Miami, San Antonio Boston, Dallas.
Owner Real Deal Posted January 30, 2011 Author Owner Report Share Posted January 30, 2011 When Artest and Fisher shoot 2-16 (or something like that) and Gasol is standing 16-18 feet away from the rim and doing absolutely nothing, the offense isn't going to work. The only reason the Lakers were in this game was because Kobe surged. Gasol is a [expletive]ing sissy right now, much different than the way he played last season, where he wanted the ball every single possession. Phil pulled both Drew and Gasol out of the game at the end for a reason. Jackson and JVG were talking trash on them for a reason. The Lakers lost for a reason. When you play a physical defense, such as Boston's, you're going to lose if you don't play like a man wanting to cause damage. Paul Pierce, Glen Davis, Kevin Garnett, Kendrick Perkins, they were all going hard. Ray Allen was almost fighting with Fisher, just to get space. Rondo attacked Brown and Blake like a superstar once Kobe moved to Pierce. Damn, it's so annoying when people have dumb [expletive] to smart off about. Start watching the game, instead of the box score.
magicbalala245
This loss puts the Lakers 0-4 against MAJOR title contenders: Miami, San Antonio Boston, Dallas. Well if you wanna throw in a dark horse major contender you can consider the Bulls then the Lakers will be at 1-5 against contenders. Owner Real Deal Posted January 31, 2011 Author Owner Report Share Posted January 31, 2011 Phil Jackson just verbally slapped the rest of the team in the presser. Someone brought up Kobe shooting a lot in the 4th, and Phil stated he thought Kobe took 12 consecutive shots for the Lakers, then he was like, "Well, it looked to me like nobody else wanted the ball" (something along those lines). Wake up, Gasol. Play big.
