htown11 Posted February 8, 2011 Report Share Posted February 8, 2011 Crazy game tonight. Melo was very effective but it wasn't the Denver Nuggets tonight it was the Denver Melos. Kevin Martin had a horrible first half but the Rockets sealed the Nuggets in the third, at one point they didn't have a field goal for over 7 minutes crazy. Rockets went to the line 35 times tonight and the Nuggets went to the line 43 times. I have to honestly say this was the worst officiating I have seen all year. I may sound bias but I can't remember the last time the refs called that may bad ones throughout a single game. You couldn't even breathe on Carmelo tonight he went to the line 18 times a few he deserved but MAJORITY he got superstar treatment it was ridiculous. Anyway Rockets are winning again, and Ish Smith had a nice return had 6 assists after replacing AB who was serving his 1 game suspension. Also have to give props yet again to Chuck Hayes! A 6'6 center who can guard the center, power forward, and small forward on a nightly basis it's just great to watch him play d, this was the play of the night. Lowry looked like he struggled tonight, why the 40 minutes when Ish was being far more productive? Also did anyone notice that Brad Miller hasn't played a minute in the past month until the Grizzlies game? Talk about a waste of cash. Dont forget the three steals brah. I could die happy. Lowry struggled a bit but did come through yet again on some defensive plays, also pushed the tempo well at times. Ish I think was used enough, eventually they seem to lay off him and force him to shoot. But I think he can only ease Ish back in depending on what they do with AB. Brad was apparently really injured, I am sure he could have suited up sooner but not surprised he is sparsely used. Still earlier in the season he had a great run resulting in some much needed wins for the Rockets, they could have been even deeper in the hole without Brads offense earlier in the season, doesn't justify his contract though. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
