Bryant sprained his left ankle in the third quarter of Saturday’s win over Dallas and was unsure about his status for the Magic game, but Phil Jackson told reporters that the ankle was “much better” on Monday morning.

Assistant coach Brian Shaw told us that if he had to guess, he’d say Bryant would play, citing the fact that … well … Bryant has played through more injuries than any player he knew, and had the “highest pain tolerance I’ve ever seen.”

Kobe is a game time decision so we'll see if he gives it a go. Bynum has played well since the all-star break, but this will be his ultimate test. We are going to need big games from our frontcourt and bench today. It's a winnable game even without Kobe.

LOL broadcasters just prasied Jason Richardson for his shutdown defense on Kobe. But the truth is that Richardon isn't doing anything special, Kobe's just missing routine looks. Injury is making an impact on his game as expected, shots are falling flat.

Excellent, excellent second half for us. Kobe's shots started falling, and the bench came through when we needed it.

Drew had 18 rebounds tonight, a new career high. Love the way he's been playing since the All-Star break. BYNOMITE!
