Phoenix at LA Lakers

Real Deal

Way too much time taken by the Suns. Lakers played good defense jumping all of the screens and passing lanes, but after the first 4 or 5 seconds was used up, Gortat needed to just attack Gasol.

Good defense by the Lakers in the 3rd overtime, but Phoenix was just completely out of sorts offensively. Some very poor execution down the stretch by the Suns.

Artest was the difference maker in that 3rd overtime. That steal and dunk was huge, and that off balance, one legged fade he hit to put the Lakers up by 5 was the biggest shot of the game (although Kobe's floater to put the Lakers up by 4 was huge, Artest's shot was bigger).

Regardless, it looked like a great game. I'm kind of pissed that I turned it off thinking it was over when the Suns were down by around 20 in the 3rd. Looks like I missed out on what was an awesome 27 minutes of basketball.

Almost had it... I'm glad we were able to bring the Lakers to a triple over time. It was clear that the players were getting tired in the third over time.

But wow, props to Hill with that amazing defense on Kobe. And also Frye for hitting all those clutch threes. I'm not too happy with Carter's shooting though, he missed at least two crucial threes that could have either got us a tie or win.

Ball-dominant, poor defender...

As far as being ball dominant, I agree. There is no such thing as a pg in our offense, and a good part of the time guys are playing without the ball so I'm not sure if Nash would be able to adjust to such a role.

As far as being a poor defender, Fish is just as bad. What Nash could really help us do is knock down open jumpshots. There would be no stopping our offense.
