Multi-Billionaire
Hi guys, it's time to reveal my real identity. I'm the new owner of the Nuggets, son of Stan, Josh... it feels great to be on top. lol jk Anyway... my question is if you were to buy and own ONE of the following NBA franchises, what would you choose and tell us why it's your choice and why you think it'll be successful with you as the new owner (can be long or short... as long as it's your genuine reason):- Charlotte Bobcats- Toronto Raptors- Minnesota Timberwolves- Golden State Warriors- Cleveland Cavaliers- Indiana Pacers- Los Angeles Clippers I'll answer mine later... Owner Real Deal Posted September 4, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted September 4, 2010 This is easy for me. I'd take the Clippers, because they are in Los Angeles (big market) and because they have Griffin and Gordon. I'd be successful because I'd immediately put Baron Davis on the block and would elect to start Bledsoe or Warren, despite both being rooks, and I'd keep Del Negro as our coach because right now, he should still be in Chicago. Simple plan, really...but the Clippers FO has no idea how to run a team.
Riot
Probably the Warriors, because I would make better decisions than the current owners and the fans would be excited to have someone that isn't as bad. The fans are a big reason, Warriors have some great and loyal fans. They have some nice talent with Curry, David Lee, their new guy Udoh, and Ellis, whom I would try to trade most likely, (maybe the Grizzlies OJ Mayo trade still on the table?) I'd get a new coach fo sho.
moeroadkill
i'd probably take the wolves because of all the young talent they have, they have the potential to be a very good. i would probably put flynn on the block and look for a center and if that doesnt work well i would turn on trade override and get greg oden from the blazers oh and turn off injuries
Newman
Clippers, because I can't possibly have a worse reputation among players than Donald Sterling. They also got a possible leader in Baron Davis/Blake Griffin + loads of talent.

AllenIverson#1fan
Large contracts though, and the team lost Felton to FA.There's players out there like Melo,CP3,and Parker who want to leave their teams, and the Bobcats have what it takes to get those players. Nitro
Warriors. Great fanbase, only NBA team in the area (as opposed to the Clippers who will ALWAYS be option B for people in LA), in a desirable location to attract FA's (unlike some of those other teams you listed), and currently have a solid young foundation to build off of. Multi-Billionaire
I'll take Warriors or Raptors... for the reason that both are great markets. Toronto is one of the best cities to live and Golden State has a huge fanbase. For the Warriors, they have a lot of talent for sure... but Raptors are intriguing, it's about management, coaching staff, players that could make the organization attractive for FAs to come and play.
