ChosenOne
Damn I did not think that he would get cut, was expecting a him to get benched or traded but never even thought cut. This must be saving the Cards some money some how.
Guest STL10
He'll be a Seahawk. Pete Carroll loves former players.

This must be saving the Cards some money some how. It's saving them plenty of money, since they cut him before the season began they don't have to pay him any of 2010 salary, plus the remaining money on his contract. fish7718
He'll be a Seahawk. Pete Carroll loves former players. How would you even know this? Carroll has never coached in the NFL, passed on Joe McKnight and cut LenDale White, I don't see how he 'loves former players'.
Smitty
He must have been doing terribly if he lost his starting job to Derek f'n Anderson.

The Great iBoldin
Max Hall will be starting by Week 8, I don't think Whisenhunt trusts the run game or his offensive line and he'll go back to the Warner days to try to rack up a couple wins. Arizona won't be making the playoffs this year, so I would think the young kids should get a lot of playing times towards the end of the year to end on a positive note for next season. Dash
# Re my Leinart-to-Seattle bet: Let me add Houston to that. Give me Houston and Seattle, and you have the field. about 3 hours ago via Twitter for BlackBerry® # I'll take Leinart signing with Seattle, and I'll give you the field. bigdog17k
I still don't fully understand why the Cards shut down, and kicked out Leinart. Okay, yeah he's probably a bust in terms of where he was drafted at, and the expectations they had for him. But what did he do this preseason that was so terrible? I didn't see him commit many turnovers, seemed like he struggled a bit when trying to convert 3rd downs... but outside of that nothing really. I think he just needs the right people to work with him in the NFL and he could be a decent starting QB.
kingfish
Stupid move. He will be the GOAT quarterback.

The Great iBoldin
He was lazy, unmotivated, whined about a lot of decisions including where he was demoted for terrible play. Accused the head coach of being biased in his decision. Couldn't convert a third down to save his life, was Captain Checkdown and never got the team in good scoring position whenever he was on the field. I don't know what his YPR is, but it's probably around 6.

Carroll has coached in the NFL, gave a fat/lazy Lendale White an opportunity (traded for him, for God's sake)... [expletive], you have to look no further than Mike Williams having a job in the NFL. Looking good, too.

NomarFachix
Trading for Lendale White doesn't count? Drafting McCoy in the 6th? Signing Byers as a UDFA? Claiming Kevin Ellison off of waivers from San Diego with a pending drug charge and a failed physical on his resume?
NomarFachix
PS - You'd put up a much better argument of passing over Taylor Mays than you would Joe McKnight, McKnight was a self-entitled douchebag at USC and Seattle had already traded for Leon Washington. Claiming Kevin Ellison off of waivers from San Diego with a pending drug charge and a failed physical on his resume?Still there's no sign of love here. A lot of coaches who worked in college would come to the NFL and want to work with their former players. All of these acquisitions cost Seattle little to nothing. NomarFachix
Wanting to work with former players =/= loving former players? I don't get what I'm missing here. Leinart would also cost Seattle little to nothing, and is a former player...

Leinart would also cost Seattle little to nothing, and is a former player...I don't think wanting your former players means you love them. If he were making trades for Reggie Bush, Ray Maualuga, and Steve Smith I'd say he loved his former player, but given his draft tendencies and not aquiring and major USC talent I wouldn't make the assumption he loves his former player. I think Leinart will be a Seahawk too, Seahawks could use a QB, and he's from USC, perfect match. I just don't see how he came to the assumption Carroll loves his former players.
