TheHutch
Post some match-ups that you need help with and others respond. Which QB do I start?Joe Flacco (vs. the Jets)orDonovan McNabb (vs. the Cowboys) Sucks that Revis just signed with the Jets or I would have went with Flacco. Them signing Houshmandzadeh today helps though, if he plays week 1. McNabb is coming off that ankle injury and the Cowboys have a pretty good secondary and McNabb doesn't have as many weapons as Flacco, but the Jets D > Cowboys D. Right now I'm leaning towards McNabb. What you guys think?
fish7718
The Jets and the Cowboys both have top 5 defenses, I'd go Flacco.
Jenneral
It's not even 100% certain that McNabb is starting this week. I'd wait a bit on this one.
The Regime
If McNabb is good to go then I would start him over Flacco. The way I see it, McNabb has a better chance of throwing a TD or running in for a TD than Flacco. fish7718
Actually thinking about it more, I'd probably go McNabb...

EastCoastNiner
The name of the game is to stop other teams from scoring, and the Cowboys were second best at that last season, so they have a strong argument.....

This isn't 2009, which is why I have hope for my Giants and you for your 49ers. The Cowboys pass D wasn't great last year and went nowhere but backwards this offseason. They aren't in the same conversation as the Jets. Go with a healthy McNabb.

I was saying he has a case for top 5 defense. I don't know if I agree with it, but there's definitely an argument for them. I think the 49er's CAN be a top 5 defense, but it all depends on their secondary. Their front seven is very good, but their secondary scares the [expletive] out if me like the Patriots entire defense.

fish7718
The Cowboys secondary is a work in progress but with Jenkins and Scandrick entering their third year, and an upgrade at FS with Alan Ball replacing Ken Hamlin, it should be above average this year, despite that they have a premier run defense and a premier pass rush. Name 5 better.

The key player to watch is backup linebacker Sean Lee from Penn St., he is special.

Newman, the perennial best best DB in the system, is another year older/slower. Edited September 7, 2010 by Chicks Love Hakeem Nicks

NomarFachix
Jenkins is the best Cowboys corner. Ball > Hamlin all day. Stick to the Giants. According to beat writer Todd Archer, Alan Ball is the clear cut starter for the Cowboys at FS. Ball was able to hold off Michael Hamlin, not a tough task considering Hamlin missed time with a concussion. Ball has strong instincts and has yet to give up a big play this offseason, but he's a fringe starter at best. Sweet, a default starter. Totally better than a guy who was a good safety before age caught up to him. Ball's ceiling isn't Hamlin's max. Maclin and Sidney Rice enjoy you touting Jenkins as the #1. Don't kid yourself, Newman has been the #1 for a long time. Jenkins is improving while Newman is declining, but again, Jenkins' ceiling is not what Newman was at his max. He is simply getting old. Stick to the Cardinals. Oh wait, you touted them as better than the Reds, too. Stick to... err... that old [expletive] in your avatar. trutrojan8
Kelvin Kolb vs GBChad Henne @ BUF I also have Brandon Marshall starting, if that makes a difference BTW, 2 pts for 300 yards, and 4 pts for a passing TD. that's the scoring for my league Edited September 9, 2010 by trutrojan8
The Regime
Easily Chad Henne, he's going against a far weaker secondary.

I'd go Kolb, lol @ Buffalo having a far weaker secondary, Terrence McGee is one of the best CB's in the league. Buffalo and Green Bay have very comparable secondaries, I'd go Kolb, Miami rushes the ball a lot.

Norm Hitzges of 1310 The Ticket in Dallas brings it up all the time. He covers the Cowboys and other teams for a LIVING. So, by saying the stat is pointless you are calling an EXPERT's stat pointless. SMH
