BasX
http://www1.pictures.gi.zimbio.com/Super+Bowl+XLIII+uEIx9QC9rWYl.jpg PITTSBURGH -- Dennis Dixon was named the Pittsburgh Steelers' starting quarterback for Sunday's season opener against the Atlanta Falcons, coach Mike Tomlin said. Tomlin said he picked Dixon over longtime backup Charlie Batch because of Dixon's strong performance in the preseason. Ben Roethlisberger is serving his four-game suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, while Byron Leftwich is out indefinitely with a sprained left knee ligament. "This is every quarterback's dream, to get an opportunity to start in the National Football League," Dixon said, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune Review. "I just want to be even keeled and [put] my team in the best situation Dixon took snaps with the starters during the Steelers' first practice of the week Monday. Dixon has started one NFL game, an overtime loss in Baltimore last season in which he threw for a touchdown and run for another. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5539943&campaign=rss&source=ESPNHeadlines Yes

The Regime
Sunday, Sept. 12 – ATLANTA -- 1 p.m. (FOX) Sunday, Sept. 19 -- at Tennessee -- 1 p.m. (CBS) Sunday, Sept. 26 -- at Tampa Bay -- 1 p.m. (CBS) Sunday, Oct. 3 -- BALTIMORE --1 p.m. (CBS) Steelers could very easily go 3-1 imo, their one loss coming against the Ravens. And what better game to start than the Falcons who have one of the worst secondaries in the league, this game could help raise Dixon's confidence. Jenneral
I could actually see the Steelers starting out 1-3. In my opinion the Falcons, Titans, and Ravens are all even opponents.
