The Regime
Sean Deveney of The Sporting News recently talked with an NBA scout who predicted breakout seasons for five players. The scout sees big years coming for 76ers guard Jrue Holiday, Pacers guard Darren Collison and Bobcats guard D.J. Augustin. He also predicts that Timberwolves forward Kevin Love and Cavaliers forward J.J. Hickson will emerge during the 2010-11 season. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/69009/20100907/scout_predicts_five_breakout_seasons/ What do you guys think? I agree with the Collison, Love, and Hickson predicitions, but I'm personally not really high on either Augustine or Holiday.
Check my Stats
Outside of Augustin I think everyone is expecting similar things out of the mentioned players.

Owner Real Deal Posted September 9, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted September 9, 2010 Can't really figure out what he sees in Augustin, and I'm not sure how Jrue will break out if he's going to be playing alongside both Turner and Iggy, unless he expects one of them to take very, very few shots per game, and Turner handle the ball much less than expected. Newman
Shaun Livingston will take the PG spot during the season for the Bobcats, Augustin is just not a Larry Brown type of PG. Love will be a double-double player but I am talking about 15-10 so I am not sure whether that classifies as a break-out season considering he posted similar stats this season I believe. Nonetheless, he is a good player already. The rest I agree with having breakout seasons because their minutes will increase significantly. Andre is still gonna get the lion's share of shots. Andre still has a big chip on his shoulder so I expect him to go all out this season. Jrue will have a great season from a defensive standpoint. Offensively...I don't really see that unless Iggy gets traded(which isn't gonna happen at this point)
