Lkr
Nebraska is by no means a top 10 team.lol when people say that college football fans are full of regional bias, there is no lie about that. I agree Cobb. Somehow Oklahoma had a 1st place vote in the pre-season poll too :s Edited September 8, 2010 by Lkr

Somehow Oklahoma had a 1st place vote in the pre-season poll too :s What about them makes them deserving of being number 6? They lost hands down the best player to walk through there in close to 20 years and their offense is still suspect. They haven't proved anything to belong at 6. Its week 2, learn something about early season polls. They don't matter! Best player in 20 years? Really? They had a Heisman winner 9 years ago(don't care that Crouch was a bust either)

Suh was the most dominant lineman in the college game since Warren Sapp. Crouch's Heisman should've gone to Ken Dorsey that year. Flash
No one has proven anything yet. Its week 2, learn something about early season polls. They don't matter! They don't matter? Of course they do. Ask Auburn if they matter. Rankings shouldn't come out till after week 4 tbh. Then you get a sense who's for real and who isn't. Pre-season rankings are ridiculous because sometimes there's teams who are always ranked highly because of who they are (VT) and undeserving hype like Nebraska this season. What hurt them was that the voters were not going to snub USC after what had happened the year before with them being snubbed and winning the Rose Bowl, as well as USC blowing out Auburn at Auburn the year before. EastCoastNiner
Again, name a more dominant DL up until Suh came along. I usually take your side on these things, but you know that's not what he's saying. You didn't need to mention another former Miami player in Warren Sapp. It'd be the same thing as me saying, Tom Brady/Peyton Manning is the most impressive QB since Joe Montana, or there hasn't been a WR as good as Moss since Jerry Rice. fish7718
Who is this Warren Sapp fellow anyway? Is that the Rock's back up? Or a different player? [Dwayne] Johnson was heavily recruited by many Division I collegiate programs but ultimately accepted a full scholarship from the University of Miami to play defensive tackle. In 1991, he was part of the Miami Hurricanes' national championship team.[9] After an injury kept him sidelined, Johnson was replaced by fellow Hurricane and future National Football League (NFL) star Warren Sapp. Source: Wikipedia Edited September 9, 2010 by Fish7718

EastCoastNiner
Sapp was a Freshman in 91...Not sure if you're trying to be sarcastic. I'm not talking about the years. . I was saying since I like the 49er's, just like you like the Miami Hurricanes, it would be pointless for me to keep bringing up 49er's players in comparison to today's player. It just so happened that Moss and Brady are Patriots and are a few of the best at their position since Montana and Rice, who were 49er's. You could put Manning and Fitzgerald in place of Brady/Moss, but the point I was making is that every post has to involve Miami somehow. Flash
I was just saying in general. Had I thought of someone else I would have. I just think those guys have been the 2 best in recent memory. Chris Long started a year or two before Suh Long was very good, no doubt. Just not sure I'd rate him as high as Suh or Sapp.
