NFL.com - The Bills are expected to use rookie C.J. Spiller as their starting running back when the season kicks off this weekend, according to a source.

Buffalo will announce Spiller as their starter on Wednesday.

Spiller was drafted with the 9th overall pick in April's NFL Draft.

Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch would be Spiller's backups.

Not a surprise. It'll be interesting to see how many touches he gets per game. If there was any back in this years draft that took a beating in college it was him.

Like what ever happened to Marshawn Lynch? He had two great years, then last year what happened? They drafted him 12th overall, I thought for sure he was going to be the guy in Buffalo for at least 5-6 more years. I know he hurt his ankle in preseason, but it's not like he's been hit with a slew of injuries during his young career.

But Spiller is suppose to be a very promising back. With the minor injuries to Jackson and Lynch he should see some carries, plus I don't think the Bills are all that confident in their passing game right now.

Woooooooooot

Wasn't obvious, everyone expected Jackson starting with Spiller getting plenty of carries. This news makes my fantasy teams smile, though.

Marshawn is constantly in trouble and is a complete idiot. DUI crash and flees the scene, steals a woman's $20 bill from a Fridays... He's just a moron. I think Buffalo is waiting for his contract to run out so they can rid themselves of him.

Ah yeah, I hadn't really heard much about him. Checked his profile on wiki I see he's had a few run-ins with the law, and just overall legal probs. Shame.
