*Swish*
Right now? or all time? right now it's Steve Nash. Even though he's starting to be old he still makes crazy passes, behind the back etc. and has the best court vision of the NBA ALL time: Magic Johnson. simply the best passer
Nitro
Magic Johnson. Simply put he revolutionized the PG position and there probably won't be another player like him in a very, very long time.

htownborn
I got more than just one. 1. Magic Johnson- He's the one who started it all.2. John Stockton- He's had 10 seasons where he's had more than 10 assist3. Steve Nash/Jason Kidd- Both still great passers and going stronger each year4. Mark Jackson-Very underrated player and passer5. Jason Williams-J-Dub will never be known as a great player but he's always been a very good and exciting player. And had some of the sickest assist I have ever seen Honorable Mentioning to Pete Maravich he never was an assist man but like J-Dub had some sick passes

Mark Jackson wasn't underrated. He played about as much defense as I do at my local park - and to put it simply, not much.
The Regime
I agree with Htown's list, he hit it right on the head. Magic Johnson's no look passes and deceptiveness, passes through multiple defenders, and pin point accuracy is incomparable. Jon Stockton comes in as a close #2, after that I think there is a pretty big gap. Steve Nash and Jason Kidd are great in their own respect but I don't think their legacies will be similar to Stockton and Magic. Multi-Billionaire
Easy... John Stockton People say Magic is the best passer because they're in awe of Magic's height and the fact he revolutionized the position... Magic was the best PG but he wasn't the best passer. If I had to pick someone to make a pass through a sea of defenders, bounce or straight laser pass, I'd take Stock over Magic any day.
Newman
Well the first thing that came to my mind that associates with passing is assists...and hence, the greatest passer IMO is John Stockton.
Owner Real Deal Posted September 11, 2010 Author Owner Report Share Posted September 11, 2010 Magic Johnson made way too many pinpoint, accurate and impressive passes for me to ignore. I can't toss him to the side just because he didn't set the record for career assists, either, since he didn't play as long as Stock. Stockton made a lot of nice passes, but Magic had more ball control to pull off fakes and passes Stockton has never attempted, notably on the break. Celtic Fan
Have to agree with Magic. Stockton was like a robot, he made the safe smart pass that made his team more efficient. Magic made more of the 'wow' passes that you couldn't imagine almost anyone else in the history of the game making. and to toss in a homer pick, Larry Bird as the greatest passing non-PG, his vision on the court was very similar to Magic's in that he saw things others just did not. Both made the game a lot easier for their team mates due to their incredible bball IQ's and ability to pass.
