Kind of retarded list. I don't understand how Thunder got A just by getting a good rookie but not great like Wall or Turner. And I don't understand how Warriors got a fkn D+! they got David Lee! one of the best Center in the league right now! he will be a great fit for the Warriors and will help the Warriors a lot on the rebounding part. Him Ellis and Curry will be looking good together.

What I don't understand is how the Warriors get the second worst grade among all teams. They not only upgraded at PF with David Lee but they also added a solid player in Udoh. Surely defense is still a big issue for Golden State, but giving them a D+ overall for just that reason doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. They'll be better than last season that's for sure.

I don't agree with very many of these grades....

For the heck of it, I'll make my own list. These grades are just off the top of my head, nothing concrete.

Atlanta Hawks - D+

-------Same team, one huge contract that will inevitably bite them in the [expletive] in the long run.

Boston Celtics - A-

-------When healthy, a good chunk of their depth chart changed from Finley, Big Baby, and Sheed to Delonte, Jermaine, and Shaq.

Charlotte Bobcats - C-

-------Lost Felton and Chandler and added Livingston and Dampier.

Chicago Bulls - A

-------Gained Carlos Boozer, Ronnie Brewer, Kyle Korver, and C.J. Watson and only lost Jannero Pargo.... good trade.

Cleveland Cavaliers - F

-------Lost the second best player in the league and are left with a team with an odd mix of veterans and prime role players. The future doesn't look bright.

Dallas Mavericks - B-

-------Gained Tyson Chandler and lost nothing of real value.

Denver Nuggets - B

-------They got the one thing they needed, a power forward. Who did they get? Al Harrington. What did they lose? Nothing.

Detroit Pistons - C+

-------The non-playoff team only adds Greg Monroe and a washed up T-Mac.

Golden State Warriors - A-

-------Team loses Anthony Randolph, Azubuike, and Morrow and gaines David Lee, Dorell Wright, and Ekpe Udoh. These moves may result in a playoff run.

Houston Rockets - B-

-------Lost Ariza and got Courtney Lee and Brad Miller, though they saved money and opened up room for playing time for quality players.

Indiana Pacers - B+

-------Troy Murphy for Darren Collison and Paul George. Very nice.

Los Angeles Clippers - C+

-------Very inactive offseason other than drafting Aminu, though a healthy Blake Griffin should help bring this team to another level.

Los Angeles Lakers - B+

-------Jordan Farmar and DJ Mbenga for Steve Blake, Matt Barnes, and Theo Ratliff. Did I mention this team just won a championship?

Memphis Grizzlies - C

-------No moves other than acquiring a defensive-minded bench player in Tony Allen.

Miami Heat - A+

-------They got Bron and Bosh AND kept Wade...... discounted! 'nuff said.

Milwaukee Bucks - A-

-------They upgraded SF and PF with Maggette and Gooden, and lost about nothing in exchange.

Minnesota Timberwolves - C

-------Lost Al Jefferson and Ramon Sessions, and gained Michael Beasley, Wesley Johnson, and Luke Ridnour. About an even trade, though it should brighten their future.

New Jersey Nets - B-

-------They replaced age with youth on the bench. The brightest part of their offseason was their draft pick in Derrick Favors, though Troy Murphy should help their record some.

New Orleans Hornets - D+

-------Traded a tremendous rookie PG in Darren Collison for a decent starting SF in Trevor Ariza. They could have done better than that.

New York Knicks - A-

-------Lost David Lee, Chris Duhon, and a rusty T-Mac, and gained Amar'e Stoudemire, Raymond Felton, Kelenna Azubuike, Ronny Turiaf, and Anthony Randolph. Under D'Antoni, they are starting to look like a playoff team.

Oklahoma City Thunder - C

-------Got a decent draft pick and a decent veteran. No real changes.

Orlando Magic - D+

-------Downgraded Matt Barnes to Quentin Richardson, and gave a bad contract to Chris Duhon.

Philadelphia 76ers - B

-------They took the second best player in the draft, as well as opened up playing time for Marresse Speights.

Phoenix Suns - C-

-------They lost their all star power forward, but gained a lot of depth. Josh Childress, Hedo Turkoglu, and Hakim Warrick. They may run a 10 man rotation.

Portland Trail Blazers - C

-------Just about 0 changes made.

Sacramento Kings - B

-------They gained a huge amount of depth in the front court. DeMarcus Cousins and Samuel Dalembert to replace Spencer Hawes.

San Antonio Spurs - B-

-------Tiago Splitter should help this aging crew.

Toronto Raptors - D-

-------Lost their franchise player, and in return got decent role players with oversized contracts.

Utah Jazz - C+

-------Lost Carlos Boozer and gained Al Jefferson, about an even trade. They lost Wesley Mathews and gained Raja Bell, a good upgrade.

Washington Wizards - B

-------They got the best player in the draft, and gained Kirk Hinrich as well. They only lost Shaun Livingston, who they didn't need anyway.

If you are going to make your own grades please put a reason behind on why you are giving the team what you are. For example why do the Rockets get a B-?

I can't really disagree with what was said about the Grizzlies. I don't know how Hiesley doesn't realize how badly we need to sign Henry already. I don't think he's going to be a great player, but he'll bring some much needed firepower off the bench.

Lakers sign 2 bench players, get an A

Heat sign a superstar, star, a few good role players and they get an A

Retarded list.

The Lakers didn't need to make adjustments to their starting lineup, and their only glaring weakness was their bench which they addressed this offseason. The Heat on the other hand needed to upgrade a bunch of positions to become title contenders. The list makes more than enough sense.

Done.

BTW, my grades are based on the look of the team in the previous year versus the team after this summer, with contracts in mind. The Rockets didn't make any real upgrades, so they got a fairly average grade.

Had they made significant upgrades or downgrades, my grade for them would have changed accordingly. Not that they even needed to make any moves, but that's not what my grades are based on. I fully understand that they are in position for a successful season with a healthy Yao.

Los Angeles Lakers - B+

-------Jordan Farmar, Shannon Brown, and DJ Mbenga for Steve Blake, Matt Barnes, and Theo Ratliff. Did I mention this team just won a championship?

LA retained Shannon.

Retarded list.

LA brought back Phil Jackson as well...and Blake is basically a starter, not to mention they landed two of the top 10-15 rookies in the draft in the second round.

Thats great but it doesnt deserve an A, I would think more along the lines of B.

The 2 rookies are a huge question mark too.

The Heat deserve an A+

Everyone else deserves less but the Bulls.

The grades aren't necessarily given based on the caliber of players, but what you did to fill your needs. Otherwise, the best teams from 2009-10 would be getting some of the worst grades, due to not being able to sign a superstar free agent or make a big trade they really don't need.

LA filled every hole in their roster, every weakness, from defense at the point to backup three (Walton is done), to legit backup PF (Powell is trash) and getting rid of our non-triangle players.

Realistically, the off-season couldn't have gone any better for us.

You will have to give us Nuggets a A+ once we trade Melo for Derrick Favors... beast among puppies... he will be so beast, Devin Harris will be considered a throw in. And this will be known as the "Derrick Favors" trade, not "Melo" trade.
