A.K.
The Orlando Magic's active offseason continued Monday when they closed in on a deal to sign free-agent forward Matt Barnes, according to sources with knowledge of the talks. One source told ESPN.com that Barnes and the Magic have agreed in principle on a two-year deal for an undisclosed amount that could be announced as early as Tuesday. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4342767

The Goods
Magic added alot of depth this off-season, they match up very well with Celtics and Cavs now.
Owner Real Deal Posted July 21, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted July 21, 2009 Man, if Miami gets Boozer and somehow Odom, the East would be insane. Boston, Orlando, Cleveland, and Miami...Garnett, Howard, LeBron and Wade, all with good to great teammates. The strong keep getting stronger in the West, also. The Spurs are better. Dallas will improve. The Lakers gained Ron Artest and hopefully an injury-free Andrew. Pretty crazy.
Multi-Billionaire
^Like I said, it's common now for teams to have 3 or more stars on one team... it's rare back in 1990s.
bigdog17k
I'm feeling confident! Otis Smith scared me for awhile, when it looked like we added Vince and lost Turk. It seemed like he stopped for a minute, he must've just been planning everything out.
BlueDevil
wow the magic are looking good in the offseason. The East is back, the top 5 or 6 teams will all be quality

Pjordan182
Now all that needs to be done is that the Magic need to sign Watson and we will be set.
xx.
This should definitely be there last signing, this is crazy good depth on the team. They definitely have what it takes to win it all this year, a great all around team. I know some campers will not be happy with their playing time though

OldChili
Anyone else watch the press conference? When asked about his role, he stated that he was told him and Pietrus will be battling for the starting position.
andreusito
He's not that good I can tell you, but he's going to hit open shots and that's what he's going to get, so it's all good depth I guess. Don't be very high on him though.
