Kyle Korver discussed Chicago's offseason moves in a wide-ranging interview with SLAM Magazine.

"I think we're going to be right there. I don't think anyone is going to pick us as the favorite, but I think everyone is going to put us up in that top group, and we should be, I think," Korver said.

"We've got a lot of great pieces, a lot of pieces that are going to get a lot better this year, but it all remains to be seen. We've got to jell together, we've got to learn how to play with each other, we've got to learn more about the coaching staff, but I think it's all there for us to be a really great team."

Unless he's the next Dwayne Wade, the Bulls will not be elite. Lakers and Heat are the only "elite" teams in the league.

I don't even consider the Heat elite.

For me, Lakers and Celtics are elite.

I was just saying not to count the Bulls out, Brewer can defend any swingman in the NBA.

You could make the case that he is the best defensive guard in the NBA, but Kobe Bryant would win that argument fairly easy.

Anyways, Korver is off the deep end until the team actually reaches the East Finals.

Show me where Derrick Rose:

- can take a long shot off the dribble...

- looks comfortable taking long shots (off the dribble or not)

To be the first option offensively, he has to do those things... because eventually if his team is to be "elite" he has to carry them offensively... I don't see it.

LeBron has, in many instances, given the ball to his teammates at the end of games but they came up short. In other words, if D-Rose is the best player offensively for them, he has to be the #1 guy. But I just don't see the team going far with him as the #1 option.

Bulls fans will know this once they watch their Bulls go through games where they can't score when they need to, etc. They need a true scorer.
