AboveLegit
When Nas announced in June that there could be second and third volumes of The Lost Tapes, fans of the Queens emcee undoubtedly salivated at the prospect. The Lost Tapes, a 2002 compilation release of Nas tracks recorded between 1998 and 2001, quickly became a fan favorite with tracks like "No Idea's Original," "Drunk By Myself," and "Poppa Was a Playa." MTV's Shaheem Reid (@ShaheemReid) broke the story via his Twitter page. "@Nas sent word my way that Lost Tapes Volume 2 comes out on December 14," he wrote. Two hours later, Nas confirmed the news on Twitter, writing, "It's coming... LOST TAPES VOLUME TWO!!!"http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/news/id.12248/title.nas-gives-lost-tapes-volume-2-release-date Can't wait for it, I thought his last album was solid, but I'm looking forward to him releasing something as a solo artist. Nitro
The original Lost Tapes is extremely underrated and never gets talked about. Had a few of Nas' best songs since the Illmatic days. Very excited to hear he's releasing some of his other non-released songs. I hope we get more songs like this, which was unreleased until he put it on his Greatest Hits mix back in 2006-2007... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0T75uxpUtQ
