The Event looked solid from that point on until...they pulled a page from Lost. That just ruined it for me but I might give it another couple of episodes. Anyway, I thought the premier of The Event was pretty badass, although it strikes me as more Lost/Fringe than 24. Which is awesome. IMO. Kind of hard to tell what direction they are going to take this, though, but it is promising for sure. Had a great premiere in ratings but the ratings have been falling since then (I'm guessing because it gets confusing at times and that makes viewers uninterested.), but it was picked up for a full 22 episode season today. Phightins Posted October 19, 2010 Report Share Posted October 19, 2010 (edited) No surprise with the ratings drop. FlashForward had a similar weird premise, which definitely turned some viewers off. The ratings got so bad there that the show was cancelled. With the exception of Lost, these types of shows generally don't last long. Hoping this is different, I am a big fan so far.
