Dash
Came up with this poll after I heard Broussard's report earlier that Melo would prefer a deal prior to training camp because it would be far too uncomfortable for both him and the organization. Also said that Denver could get a lot more for Melo than they would at the February trade deadline.
Owner Real Deal Posted September 21, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted September 21, 2010 Before opening night. I think Denver wants to get rid of him now, with all of these reports coming out...gotta believe them...but there are too many teams jumping into the boat at once, and camp starts too soon. Check my Stats
I think it would be best for everyone if he was dealt and inked to a new deal before the season starts. However with the reports coming out he won't sign an extension in New Jersey (smh) I doubt anything will get done, because that report will do nothing to encourage the Knicks to up their offer, and it seems the only place Melo will sign an extension in, is in New York. Clutch
probably early in the season - i dont see it happening before the start of the season
deestillballin
Trade Deadline, It will be that "one blockbuster" deal that happens almost every year
Guru
I would say before opening night. They don't want all the media attention surrounding Melo's situation if they keep him. Never is the 2nd option imo. It looks to be a situation of get rid of him now or keep him because I doubt the offers will get any better the longer they wait. Nestle Snipes
Trade deadline, if it even happens, the team that gets him is going to have to get an contract extension before they trade for him for one year or part of a year!
