Flash
per Ira's twitter: "Erick Dampier actually has gone through meet-and-greet process, and it now appears as if his signing is imminent, if not already done." Solid signing and probably means the Big Cat is gone.
Check my Stats
Don't know where else he would go, LA should make an offer just so Miami doesn't get him TBH.

Owner Real Deal Posted September 22, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted September 22, 2010 Despite visit to Miami, no decision from Erick Dampier today, league source says. Houston and Denver still in mix, but Heat have edge.
Check my Stats
I don't know why he would go anywhere besides LA or Miami (if LA is interested), unless he doesn't want a ring lol....
Abro
Wow if this signing does indeed happen it will be great for the Heat. We will have 3 legit centers to eat up all the minutes at tht position so Bosh will never have to play there if he doesnt want to, which he's already stated.. Nevertheless.. If the Heat sign Dampier it will be awesome, the guys past his prime but he can still play on both ends of the court. This team looks so legit right now its not even funny. Abro
Okay.. He already said tht he didnt want to play center wen he got there and if he doesnt want to i dont think spo will make him play the C much at all but if the Heat have tht much depth at the C then he wont have to.. even Haslem can and will play the C if asked to.. He is a very accommodating as a player. So i cant see bosh playing the C much at all actually
Poe
Bosh won't play center much, though it's possible that he'll be asked to do so to open more playing time for Udonis. We'll see who defends the centers when both are on the court. Bosh is taller, more athletic, and has a longer wingspan though UD weighs more. Again, we'll see. Edit: Come to think of it, perhaps we might see Bosh get some playing time at the 3 against bigger SFs like Marvin Williams. At some point during a game, we could see a line up like: Wade - Miller - Bosh - Haslem - Ilgauskas. Just throwing it out there as a possibility. Dzy
MIAMI (AP)—The Miami Heat have decided not to offer a contract to free agent center Erick Dampier(notes), who worked out for the team earlier this week. Heat president Pat Riley said the team was intrigued by the possibility of adding the 35-year-old Dampier, who has spent the past 14 seasons in the league. Dampier played the last six seasons in Dallas, and was the Mavericks’ starter when that team lost to Miami in the 2006 NBA finals. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ap-heat-dampier Heat not signing Dampier because they already got 4 centers. Houston bound?
Flash
Bad idea. I would've taken him in a second. I guess they really believe in Pittman.
Poe
I figured. The Heat already have Joel Anthony.
Clutch
Bad idea. I would've taken him in a second. I guess they really believe in Pittman. im sure there were other reasons than hope in pittman, i believe riley when he said "u can never have enough big men" and he was certainly interested, but spo and riley probably saw a flaw/problem big enough not to move forward with this
Nitro
Guarantee it's because Dampier was out of shape in the workout. Riley is the one guy who, even if he's not the active head coach, does NOT tolerate players showing up fat. If I remember correctly Antoine Walker and James Posey were both suspended by Rileyt the year after they won the title because they failed his underwater bodyfat test.
