Owner Real Deal Posted September 29, 2010 Author Owner Report Share Posted September 29, 2010 Gotta pin this, or else it falls to the last page of the forum...don't know why ESPN didn't have this game on the schedule, but I missed it. Sorry fellas.
Flash
Is Rubio going to be playing in this one?
Owner Real Deal Posted October 7, 2010 Author Owner Report Share Posted October 7, 2010 I believe they are showing this on ESPN or ESPN2. EDIT: ESPN2
Owner Real Deal Posted October 7, 2010 Author Owner Report Share Posted October 7, 2010 For some reason, Rubio seems to have gotten worse putting the ball in the basket since 2008.

GamerGuy
For those of you who just woke up (like me) and completely missed the game, KCAL 9 is showing it again later at 7:00 PM tonight.
Owner Real Deal Posted October 7, 2010 Author Owner Report Share Posted October 7, 2010 Cool that it's a close game, and the Lakers are trying to win, but Kobe needs to come out of the game. He shouldn't even be playing over 12 minutes while he's still healing from the surgery.
htown11
Caught the end of this on ESPN3 pretty entertaining. I didn't think Kobe would get that foul behind the three point line but he bought it, nearly pulled a comeback.
Owner Real Deal Posted October 7, 2010 Author Owner Report Share Posted October 7, 2010 Game is finally over. I hope Bryant doesn't even play the next game.
andreusito
Interesting game. I would love some kind of "mini world cup" of teams and not national teams of the world, just like in soccer. The gap is getting smaller and smaller.

The Regime
0-3 on Monday, 2-15 today. I'm with Brandon, we need to rest him, and not rush him into play. I'm surprised this game was even close when you consider the 3 pt disparity. Edited October 8, 2010 by Confidence
La Bomba
Barcelona is a damn good team. They are lierally one of the best internstional teams of all time. I'm not saying this because of this game alone, but they flat out dominated the ACB last seaaon.

Lemon
From what I saw, Shannon Brown looks lost out there defensively and offensively. He'll never get good at running through screens. With the exception of Steve Blake, all the new additions look lost offensively. As far as rookies go, Ebanks is actually getting the offense pretty well. Caracter needs to do a lot more work on his offense. Overall tho, this team is just rusty. At least we got to see what the rotation is going to be during a season game. We also saw some team chemistry between Fish & Pau, Blake & 2nd unit. I'd really love to see Blake play with the starters.

Owner Real Deal Posted October 8, 2010 Author Owner Report Share Posted October 8, 2010 Well, they are a great team, no doubt...but if this was June, they would get ran by the Lakers.
Flash
Well, they are a great team, no doubt...but if this was June, they would get ran by the Lakers. Of course. This Lakers team will be fine, but they need to get healthy. How long till Kobe is back at 100%?
Warren2ThaG
Of course. This Lakers team will be fine, but they need to get healthy. How long till Kobe is back at 100%? He'll never be healthy haha, and we'll still win it all.

How long till Kobe is back at 100%?He's not going to be 100% ever again. The index finger, shooting hand, already has arthritis and it's a permanent tear, and he'll have tendinitis in that knee for the rest of his career. Not that it matters, really. It's Kobe. Drew and Walton would concern me in a situation like that, and most NBA players, especially at 30+ years old. I've seen enough of Kobe to be able to ignore it, though. Multi-Billionaire
Barca won using NBA rules? These two teams should play TWO best of 7 series... one series using NBA rules, and another series using international rules. NBA rules: Lakers win 4-2.International rules: Barca win 4-1. There isn't that much of a difference between the two sets of rules. Knocking the ball off the rim and a shorter three point line wouldn't sway the series that much. This Lakers team, fully healthy, would annihilate them. I'd give them one win only because I'm giving Bryant one bad game. Doesn't matter the rules.
