Abro
I'm sorry but that's exactly what you are saying when you say race was a factor, otherwise there is no reason to say anything. Even if it played the tiniest role there's no reason for him to even say it.I think the only reason why the whole race thing is even an issue was because of Dan Gilberts letter or email or watever it was. And then Jesse Jackson publically making it an issue with race but like SRV said, its all bring overplayed. Lol it just needs to die is wat needs to happen. Btw i dont think u need to be sorry because i kno this is getting tiring for non heat fans. Not tht i agree with wat is all being said though. Poe
So your telling me if LeBron was white he wouldn't be hated on as much? I'm sorry that's ridiculous, typical homer defense ignorance from you. Wow.... just wow. Of course race played little to no factor in this, but that's beside the point I made in my post. Typical ignorance from you. Translation: I DON'T THINK RACE WAS A FACTOR How stupid can people get? Read my god damn posts before replying... PLEASE! I BEG you guys! Everything I ever say is disregarded for homerism just because of my fanbase, and I'm constantly misquoted. - People will say I think LeBron/Wade is better than Kobe/Shaq, when I never said that. - People say I think Wade is right when he said the Heat losing 2 games is comparable to the WTC, when I never said that. - People say I think the Heat will win 6 championships, when I only said that they might. - People say I'd be mad at Wade if he was the one to leave, and I constantly have to remind him that I'd feel the same about Wade's departure as I feel about LeBrons. (Translation, because apparently I have to: I wouldn't be mad at Wade!) - Now people are saying I think LeBron is right about people being against LeBron's decision because of his race.... now, at this point, do I NEED to explain that one again? I think I do - I don't (meaning: do not) believe race was a factor. Okay. I'm calm. I feel better now. I'll just refer to this post every time someone blames me for blind homerism again. It's really gotten ridiculous. Edited October 1, 2010 by Poe

Lkr
- People will say I think LeBron/Wade is better than Kobe/Shaq, when I never said that. The 3.... easily. Comparing Kobe and Shaq with Wade and LeBron is a roughly even comparison, but giving the Heat Chris Bosh blows the Laker duo out of the water. It's not even close. Saying the two are roughly even is an overstatement to say the least, and when you list Bosh, you are completely wrong, and your homerism is kicking in. JYD
Race played no issue in this. It's that simple.

Poe
IF YOU AGREE WITH US THAN HOW CAN DEFEND WHAT LEBRON SAID? I didn't. Read my post. Here, I'll bring it up for you: LeBron didn't come out and try to blame it all on race, but if you want to twist it that way to attempt to put LeBron in a bad light as usual (like when LeBron was "owning" little kids at his camp when they were having the time of their lives, or being a jerk to a towel boy when he didn't even notice him), well I suppose that's your.... 'decision'. Can you decipher that yourself, or do I need to explain? *sigh* Explanation: First I said LeBron didn't blame it all on race. If you read his quote, in response to a question if race is a part of it and he said "I think so at times. There is always a race factor". What does that mean? He thinks race playing a factor is commonplace for things coming out of the media, not just 'The Decision'. What am I defending him against? The way people twist it. People are taking advantage of this situation to find more reasons to hate LeBron in order to strengthen their position against him. Instead of saying that LeBron believes there is a race in a lot of things in the media, they concentrate on him relating it to his special on ESPN, and even go as far as saying that LeBron is trying to justify that the entire reason behind the negative reviews is because he's black. Never did I say my opinion about what he said. Just the way people twisted it. Do I make sense now? May I let go of your hand? fish7718
I love how make it sound like LeBron is being victimized for making a horrid comment. Yes you are defending him, in your own passive "I'll make a comment and step away from it so I don't look bad" sort of way. It's pathetic. Stop playing both sides of the fence. Make YOUR decision and put your balls behind it instead of say "wellll it wasn't that bad, it's more of you guys just twisting his words" *sigh* Whatever Poe you do you, lol @ holding my hand, at least when Flash and SRV make a comment they make their comments clear and they stand behind it.

Poe
Saying the two are roughly even is an overstatement to say the least, and when you list Bosh, you are completely wrong, and your homerism is kicking in. I was pointing at people blaming me for thinking LeBron/Wade is better than Kobe/Shaq, which I've been misquoted for saying multiple times. On my actual opinion, saying LeBron/Wade/and Bosh is better than Kobe/Shaq, you can disagree with me if you like. There is nothing wrong with that, but don't include "homerism" as a reason to try to prove I'm wrong. If I'm so obviously wrong, I'm sure you can come up with much better reasons. JYD
Race didn't play any part in this. He went on ESPN to make his decision (which was supposed to be made in the first 10 minutes, and didn't come til I believe 9:27) and ripped the heart out of the Cle Cavs fans. If their best player was white and did this, you don't think they'd be pissed and there would be major backlash? Come on now. It just so happens to be that every single athlete is black now. AboveLegit
Leave the personal attacks out of this guys. And let's be fair, what Poe said in his first post is just reitering what the article stated. He is right, LeBron never fully blamed it on race.... And that's not to say LeBron was right, because as I said earlier, race doesn't play a factor in this at all.
