AboveLegit
It's only the 4th week of the season, but man is he impressive. I was looking at my twitter feed just now and was shocked when I read this: greggrosenthal: Arian Foster became 3rd back in NFL history to top 500 rush yds, 100 receiving yds in first 4 games. Emmitt, Billy Sims the others That's pretty damn impressive for a guy who probably no one outside of Houston knew before week 1. How good is he? Is he a top 5 back in this league? Do you believe he has the potential to reach elite status and be mentioned alongside Adrian Peterson and Chris Johnson?
Jenneral
He's definitely good but I'm hesitant to hype him up as a top 5 back just yet. It's a small sample size so far... we'll need to see how he finishes over the course of an entire season.
fish7718
The Cowboys have one of the top run defenses in the NFL. Arian Foster was gashing us. The kid is for real, next Willie Parker, in the sense a RB can go undrafted and have a great career. It's too early to tell if he's top 5, but he def has a chance to be elite. ChosenOne
How good is he?- Very good.Is he a top 5 back in this league?- No. AP, CJ, MJD, Gore, Rice, Mendenhall, Jackson, are all better and would/should be put above him. A couple strong weeks don't really prove anything.Do you believe he has the potential to reach elite status and be mentioned alongside Adrian Peterson and Chris Johnson? - Yes but has not gotten there yet. htownborn
I think he'll be a top 10 back for years to come, but will he be better than AP, CJ, and the rest of the elite backs, I really can't say its to early to really tell. But if he stays consistent then yeah I believe he will he will. Edited October 4, 2010 by htownborn
Flash
Guy was always one of the most talented backs in college but he was injury prone, had some fumbling issues and he also had some off the field issues which is why teams passed on him in the draft. He's a stud though.
Guru
We are four weeks in, too early to tell. He has looked outstanding so far but lets see if he can keep this up for the remainder of the season before we label him as a Top 5 back in the league haha. fish7718
Just looked it up, Foster ran for 100 vs the Cowboys, last RB to do that was Willis McGahee and LaRon McClain in 2008, lol yes in the same game.
