The Goods Posted July 21, 2009 Report Share Posted July 21, 2009 Minnesota president David Kahn said that trading for Quentin Richardson isn't a precursor to a Ricky Rubio deal. The Timberwolves dealt Mark Madsen, Craig Smith and Sebastian Telfair to the Clippers for Richardson. Kahn explained that the trade was more about creating roster space and cap room than anything else. He was also adamant that it was "not a precursor of any sort" to a buyout of Rubio's contract with DKV Joventut in Spain.
