Just recently thought about changing my major because journalism seems to by dying. What kind of math classes do you have to take for business management? and all the basic info. thanks. The math classes aren't all that hard, you just have to show up and pay attention lol. Accounting 201 is a [expletive], probably one of the worst classes I have ever taken. Legacy
Can't you just a spreadsheet though? Edited October 7, 2010 by Legacy
Vitasoy
Business management is a concentration. Business administration is very broad. It usually consists of: accounting, management, marketing, finance, economics, entrepreneurship, etc. Colleges usually want you to concentrate on one of the above if you're going to major in business administration. As others have already stated above, you have to take math classes up to calculus.

I can declare a major whenever but just wont until I literally have to. That one page you have to fill up and turn in is brutal lol.
La Bomba
How is college journalism? I'm majoring in journalism next year at Memphis. The problem is the things I'm interested in (journalism/political science) won't really give me a job out of college. Most people who have gone to my high school do something business related, but I absolutly hate business.
Vitasoy
That's the thing with college these days. You won't find a job unless you major in something you hate.
SRV
College right now is useless. My sister graduated in accounting, with a 3.7 GPA and couldn't find a job for 2 years, she just got hired at discovery channel because my uncles wife works there. My brother graduated in biomedical engineering with a 3.8 GPA, and he didn't get into medical school last year, so he had to wait an entire year to apply again, he is waiting for replys from the school he applied to right now. Basically, you can't really rely on these majors to get a job, you have to look at jobs that are in demand and hope that you get in after college. Or you gotta know some people to get into a job you want...I am actually pretty scared that I am gonna work my [expletive] off to be a physical therapist assistant, and then when I finish, I won't have a job for a while. fish7718
It's not useless, but a bachelor's is the new associates, you really need your masters to even be considered now.
