Dash
The Cavs still have some decent role player in Antawn Jamison, Mo Williams, Anderson Varejao and Anthony Parker that could prove to be valuable to contending teams.I can definitely see all 4 of these players being thrown around in trade rumors to teams that want to keep up with or get ahead of competing teams. The trade deadline is when see that sort of thing when teams begin to get desperate for a change. Do you see the Cavaliers willing to let go of pieces that all played big roles during the Lebron James era? Gilbert seemed deadset on somehow winning a championship before Lebron James does, do you think he continues with this mindset and keeps his player or will he allow this team to take another step in rebuilding? Owner Real Deal Posted October 10, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted October 10, 2010 They'll definitely look to make noise before the deadline, and it may be the only way they'll rake in an all-star. I doubt many players will want to go to Cleveland after Gilbert's letter to LeBron was published for the world to see. EDIT: Of course, there's the draft, but I don't see the Cavs doing much during free agency.
Flash
I think its just time to rebuild there. Trade your big contracts and see what you can do in the draft. Suffer through 2-3 down years and build a young franchise that can grow to compete.
Check my Stats
There are a real handful of players there that could be dealt at the deadline, but with the CBA up in the air you have to figure teams won't be in a rush to take those contracts. Newman
They got a lot of solid role players/sidekicks in the team as they built the team around LeBron in previous years so definitely a team contenders want to talk to during the season.
