Flash
Do you guys have any friends or know anyone who just doesn't follow sports at all? I always found it hard to communicate with people like that in HS because there was never really much to talk about unless we were at a party getting faded or something. Anyone have that same problem?

Dash
I don't think I've met anyone that didn't have some sort of knowledge about sports or at least watched them from time to time.
bigdog17k
Yeah, I know people who casually follow sports... like you know they've seen them, but are usually incorrect about stats, or they bring up old stuff. But I find there is still stuff to talk to them about.

Sun Tzu
Yes I heaps lol. But some of those who don't usually care about sports sometimes watch those occasional sporting matches like world cup games etc.

Nitro
I'm one of the only people in my group of friends that watches sports, and the only one that's a hardcore nut about them. Kinda sucks, but there is still plenty to talk about.
The Regime
I'd say 95% of my friends follow sports, but most of them aren't hardcore fans like myself. Most of them will know what's going on in the sports world but nothing in depth. Sports isn't even one of the hot topics when I usually hang out, as a matter of fact the discussion around sports is usually brief (unless of course we are watching sports at the time). Flash
I should've re-stated the OP. I don't know maybe its just me and obviously there's more to talk about than just sports. I dunno I guess with me and my friends we talk about sports constantly and/or music so its different when talking to other people who don't watch sports. Guru
Most of my friends watch sports. We usually have pretty heated discussions about sports actually. A lot of homerism and ignorant comments are involved in these discussions. With my few friends that don't watch sports, we just talk about different stuff... drinking, girls, video games, etc.
Jenneral
What's worse than someone not following sports at all is someone who thinks they know sports, but they really don't.
JYD
I have a few friends who never played/watch sports. But we aren't great friends because of that reason...sports is just such a big part of my life that I run out of things to talk about with these other friends.
Owner Real Deal Posted October 17, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted October 17, 2010 Depends. My female friends? I have a lot of them that really don't care about sports. They will watch them, but there are a lot who don't know a damn thing about the game or the sport they watch. Male friends? I honestly can't think of a single true male friend of mine that doesn't watch basketball or football. There's one guy I casually talk to that doesn't watch those two, but he LOVES baseball. Big Penny
most of my mates don't. a couple of guys follow the NBA (1 of them properly, another 2 guys casually). quite a few of my freinds play basketball, but there's only 1 guy i can have a geniunely good sports conversation with. a bunch of guys who aren't really friends, but i still get on with an talk to from time to time follow soccer/football (but we're in England so duh) but i never talk about it. and i've never met a girl who follows sports

BasX
Music is probably a bigger connector between me and my friends than sports, but I've grown up with a lot who don't so I'm not only used to it, but i like it.
