MainEv3nt
The Dallas Mavericks will bring in Sean Williams for a tryout, according to a source. The former first-round pick of the New Jersey Nets and Mansfield High School standout played in 20 games for the Nets last season and scored 2.6 points per game and grabbed 2.3 rebounds. The 6-foot-10 Williams is an excellent shot-blocker whose career has been derailed by off-court issues. He was kicked off the team at Boston College due to marijuana use. He had a series of transgressions during his time with the Nets, including an arrest after a confrontation with a clerk at a Colorado cell phone clerk that resulted in Williams being placed on probation and suspended for two games. The Mavs are intrigued by Williams' talent and intend to take a no-risk look at him.
