Guest The REAL STL10
Living in Dallas, I never thought the Rangers would ever play in the World Series. They were a joke around the city. I watched them during the A-Rod era, I watched them when Hank Blalock was their best player, and when Josh Hamilton got there, everything changed. Hamilton, Nolan Ryan, and Ron Washington changed the team forever when they were brought in. Nolan made shrewd trades, Hamilton played amazing baseball, and Washington wanted to play small ball. Early on, it looked like Ron may have been fired. In 2009, they started off slow and many called for Ron's head. Now look at this team... WORLD SERIES! Even being a Cardinals fan, it was still amazing to see everyone's favorite crutch joke become the best in Dallas. Here are some pictures from where I sat and my "claw shirt" Claw and Antlers!http://i52.tinypic.com/2n8x5xv.jpgBefore the gamehttp://i56.tinypic.com/21l0e4h.jpgAround the 5th inninghttp://i51.tinypic.com/vff69h.jpgWorld Series Bound!http://i54.tinypic.com/2s8si9d.jpg Edited October 23, 2010 by The REAL STL10
htown11
Damn that's really cool, I am so happy for the Rangers. It's great when teams do more with less, the Yankees will always be heavily criticized because of all the money they spend for the big names. Winning the World Series or bust, and this year bust. Rangers did it right from top to bottom, great job prepping this team, the new ownership has been just what the team needed and I saw the GM the other night when they were doing the trophy presentation, man they got a young smart staff in Texas wheeling and dealing.
